manya's pov

"Rudra... keep this on the dining table.. beta." my mom said to my brother.

we are having guests today in our house for dinner. Me and my brother helped mom the whole day. I wish Rahul Uncle and his family likes all this preparations. 

"its so good to have you guys here with us..." my dad announced happily. Uncle, Aunty and my parents were engrossed in their own conversation. Avni (Arjun's younger sister) was talking to me and both the boys were indulged in some serious conversation... as if they are planning to launch a satellite in space by tomorrow.... 🙄🙄🤣🤣

Everyone was talking while having tasty meals, laughing in the middle. Arjun kept a stoic face most of the time while talking..... While i stare at him, intrigued by him more than before. His eyes met mine and the smile on my lips vanish, looking down at my plate... I started stabbing my food.

" so... how's it going ... beta... How are you adjusting?.....I am sure you must be  managing very  well" my dad asked Arjun... ... 

Arjun is appointed as the new COO of their company... at this time he is an extremely busy man. Taking important decisions, handling alot and these days he is indeed coming home very late. how do i know..... well.... yes i usually stays up late at night preparing notes for my tuition students.

Arjun signs with a tired smile, a bit of irritation was evident on his face. " everything is going great uncle... but the thing that's bothering me is the reckless behavior of my assistant. He went on leave without any prior notice and here i am struggling to plan everything, managing meetings, and schedules."

" you should appoint a new one beta.." my mom said.

" i am trying aunty.... but till now nobody matches the requirements" 

" how's studies going manya... " Mansi aunty asked me out of the blues.

"is your PG completed?..."

" almost aunty... exams got over last week and i am waiting for my results" 

She smiled and said " great........ BY the way.... swati .. you are an amazing cook .. this biryani is just awesome... Right  arjun.... you know its his favorite..."

" Manya made this...... i prepared the rest of the dishes... i remember once you told me its Arjun's favorite. so manya told me that she will prepare this today.. " my mom replied and i smiled shyly. I felt his stare on me.

The only dish he took on his plate twice today was biryani. He looked shocked and this time I smirked, having a malicious grin.😈

"Manya are you planning to do a full-time job beta..." Uncle asked.

"Uncle i haven't planned anything yet. Just love to give tuitions  to  kids who can't afford spending too much money in coaching , who are good at studies but just need a bit of guidance from someone."

Uncle nodded assuringly. There was a silence when he suddenly looked at me contemplating something "But beta... summer vacations are going on.... you are not taking any tuitions for the time being .... right?......"

i nodded.

" then why don't you join our company....    as an assistant of Arjun...?" And i started coughing, almost all the people got worried and gave me water but only one was sitting doing nothing just enjoying the show.

"i am fine" I gulped water calmly. He just stare, he  could have denied but sat silently maybe because  the whole family was present.

my mind was about to explode thinking what khichdi is he cooking in his too smart to handle kind of mind.😾😾
