TENNESSEE...
"Rudy" A woman shouts, walking on to her front porch and walking down the steps, she whistles for the dog but gets no response
"Rudy!, Come on" The woman shouts once again "It's too hot to make me come looking for you" She adds before turning around to find Klaus and I stood behind her. Klaus had his arm wrapped around my waist as he smiles at the woman.
"I didn't mean to scare you" Klaus says apologetically in an American accent, causing me to tilt my head towards him as I try to hold back my laughter.
"Can I help you?" The woman asks defensively as Klaus pokes me in the side to get me to stop laughing and I clear my throat and smile towards the woman.
"Yeah, our car broke down a couple miles back and we've been walking for what feels like forever, this was the first house we saw" I explain as the woman nods in understanding
"I was hoping that we could use your phone" Klaus adds as the woman looks towards us suspiciously
"Don't you both have a cell phone?" The woman questions
"Our batteries died, someone left the charger at the last motel we stayed at" I say pointedly looking towards Klaus who rolls his eyes in response before returning his gaze towards the woman and smiling.
