Guy gets cursed, and turned into a fairy. Couple years later he meets a human, and they bond, even if they can't fully communicate with each other. He can understand them, but they can't understand him.
Human is non binary. Not a love story!
They help the fairy and later they find a Ruby earing she puts it on and is able to use manic to connect the fairy to the earing.
They both manage to use enough magic so now he can finally turn human again.
