Summer AU

Cas had always had feelings for Dean. Ever since she met him. He loved his smiles and eyes. He especially loved his brave personality. She thought it was adorable. Dean and Cas had been friends for awhile now, but to be completely honest, Cas wanted be more than just friends. She wanted to tell Dean how he felt, but he was too shy. Shee didn't want to be hurt or be ruin their relationship, so  she stayed quiet.

Cas was in her own little world when Dean called her name. "Cas." He said as he waved his hand in front of her. "Earth to angel girl". Cas shook her head as she was pulled down from the clouds. "Huh?" She responded with rosy red cheeks. Her cheeks always turned red when he called her 'angel girl'. It was a nickname only he would call her.

Sam let out a small laugh. Sam was the only one who knew Cas' secret. Cas gave him a small glare that only he knew. He shut up but kept a large grin on his face. "So, what do you want to do today?" Dean asked as he opened the menu, looking for something to order. Cas shrugged. "Well, I have to go visit Gabriel. So it's just going to be you guys today." He said with a smile. "I should get going, Gabriel is going to kill me if I don't hurry. He might play a trick on me." he said, rolling his eyes.

Cas gave hima look that said "Please don't leave me with Dean". Sam got up and winked at her as he left. How could he just leave her with her crush? Then it hit her. He thought they needed time alone. Maybe that was what they needed. But what if  Cas screwed up? Worries began to stir, it made her feel sick. Cas put her hand over her mouth as if she was going to throw up.

Dean looked up from menu to Cas. "Are you okay?" He asked her in a confused and concerned tone. She nodded as she took her hand off of her mouth and smiled. "Yes, I am fine." She lied. Dean once told her humans lied. She was still trying to learn be more human, so she did what he had told her to do; lie. She may have looked calm on the outside, but in reality, she was actually squirming and freaking out. She didn't want to be completely alone with him because she thought she might screw up.

The waitress  finally came to their table. "Hi, may I take your order?" She asked the two. "Yeah, I'll have pie." He said with a smile, look up at her. "Just pie?" She asked once again. "Just pie." He confirmed it. "Okay then, I'll be back before you know it." She winked at him and walked away. His eyes were on ass the whole time as she walked away. "Well, damn." He said with a large, stupid ass smile.

Cas felt a flame rise in her stomach. What was this feeling? Was it what the humans called jealousy? If it was,  she was sinning? "You know, you shouldn't look at every single girl like that." She spoke in a soft and shy voice as she crossed her arms and frowned. "Are you jealous?" He said flashing a large grin at her.

"What?! No!" She squeaked. He was catching on, she had to do something. Fast. "Well, why don't we go down to the beach once you finish your pie?" She suggested to him, forcing a smile. Yep, she was jealous alright. Of all the humans she had to fall for, why the hell did she have to fall for Dean WInchester.

Dean smiled again and nodded. "That sounds great." He said as the waitress came back with his pie. She sat it down. "Here you go." She said before walking away.  "Thank you!" He called out as he started chowing down on his pie.

                                                          **************************************************

Within minutes, he was dine eating his pie. "I'm ready." He said as he paid the waitress for his 'meal'. Cas smiled as she got up and followed behind him. "To the beach! I'm going to the beach for the first time with Dean Winchester." She squealed in her head. She was happy as any female would be. She was finally alone with one and only charming Dean fucking winchester. She had him all to herself for the full day. And he had her. Maybe today would be the day she would finally be able to make her move. THat is, if her shyness didn't get in the way.

They walked out onto the beach and went to the bathrooms to change into their swimsuits. Dean came out in swimming trunks, showing off his toned chest. Cas is came out with a bikini. It was the only thing she was able to bring. Dean looked her over and smiled before shaking his head. "Come on, man! This is Cas we're talking about! Not your average female!" He scolded himself for lusting after his best friend.

"I guess we can put a towel down and watch the ocean. Thankfully it's not too crowded." Dean said, looking around the beach. "Come on, angel girl." He spoke again, but this time grabbing her hand. Cas' face boiled scarlet red. She was holding hands with him! Well, this certainly was an achievement. They then made it down near the ocean and put a large orange and white towel down on the soft brown sand.

Cas sat down as she patted the towel, signaling Dean to sit beside her. He did so and flashed a large smile at her. "Well, I have to say, we've never had time like this before." He said, laughing softly. "Yeah, I know." She responded, trying to hide the fact that she was in love with him. She didn't just like him, she loved him.

She loved every detail about him. Even his freckles. She thought when he smiled, the world smiled with him. His eyes showed the passion he had for hunting and life. She loved the way he lived life to the fullest, she even loved him when he was a demon. She was glad they could save him before it was too late.

They stayed there for hours, chatting about life, angels, hunting things and other stuff. Mostly random stuff. Cas asked awkward questions, being curious as she was.  Before they knew it, the sun was already setting. Sam would be back soon. Now would be the best time to tell him. She thought to herself quietly.

"Dean there's something I need to tell you..." She said looking at him, her blue eyes gleaming happily. "Hm?" He said as he turned to look at her. "I-I care about you." She said, struggling to get the words out. "I know." He said. He didn't get it. He didn't get how much she cared about him. There was only one way to get his attention. And that way was to kiss him.

"Cas, what do you—" Cas shut him up with a soft and sweet kiss, yet it was passionate in its own way. She quickly looked away, her rosy red cheeks glowed brightly. "I'm so sorr-" This time he wasn't the one cut off, she was. He had pushed her down and was on top of, kissing her heavily.  The kiss lasted a few moments before someone called their names.

"Uh, Dean, Cas? What the hell are you doing?" Sam asked. Dean and Cas sat up quickly, both of their faces boiling red.  "Goddammit Sam!" Dean said loudly. Sam let out an embarrassed laugh as he scratched the back of his head. "Sorry..." He said

                                                  ********************************************************

Dean and cas walked side by side, following sam back to the car. "Dean, wait." Cas called. "Yeah?" He asked. "I love you." She smiled. "I love you too, angel girl." He said with a bigger smile  and gave her quick kiss on the forehead.
