"Yeah," Finney chuckled, "that lesson was kinda tough though," Donna replied with a giggle. They had been talking for a couple of minutes.

Meanwhile, Robin watched them with anger bubbling inside him. His best friend, Finney, talking to another girl made him furious. He had to witness it all. He didn't understand why he kept watching even though it hurt him. He just wanted to see how Finney would react.

He was jealous, plain and simple.

He had no right to feel jealousy because he and Finney were just friends. But sometimes, he wished they could be more than that. Was it even possible? Maybe, but it seemed like Finney liked someone else. Robin wasn't entirely sure, but whenever they hung out together, all he heard about was Donna. It was always Donna, Donna here, Donna there. Robin was fed up with it.

He would listen to Finney's stories about Donna, even though it pained him. But seeing Finney happy made him feel a flicker of happiness too.

After their conversation, Finney approached Robin and said, "Hey!" Robin responded with a lack of energy, saying, "Hey."

"What's wrong?" Finney asked, noticing Robin's strange demeanor. Robin didn't give him a response.

"Robin?" Finney repeated, but still no answer.

"Forget it," Robin replied, shaking his head as he put his arm around Finney's shoulder.

After dismissal, finney headed outside their class to search for robin

After school, Finney went outside their classroom to look for Robin. He spotted him at his locker and immediately walked toward him.

"Hey, Robin," he said, but Robin couldn't help but show a cold attitude. He was too affected by what was happening with him and Donna to speak to Finney without feeling hurt.

He hated that he couldn't have Finney. He hated that he couldn't express himself to Finney. He hated that he couldn't hold Finney when he needed him. Loving him hurt Robin, but that's how love is-it's painful.

Robin turned around and said, "I was waiting for you, Finn," fuming. Even Robin didn't know why he said that out of nowhere.

"What-when?" Finney responded confusingly, "earlier, when you and donna were having some quality time together. I waited, like you asked"

"Quality time? She was just aski-" finney was cut off by Robin's sentence, "cut the crap, blake" he shoved finney out of the way, and walked out of their school

Finney chased after Robin until they ended up in an empty park. Finney crouched down, placing his hands on his knees as he caught his breath.

Robin stopped walking. He had led Finney here on purpose.

"Robin," Finney huffed.

"Finney," Robin turned around to face him.

"I'm sorry if I kept you waiting. I swear, I was just... I didn't even know you would wait for me. Donna really needed my help" Finney babbled.

"Can you stop talking about them for one second? Because frankly, I don't give a fuck about them or what happened between both of you" Robin snapped. He paused, realizing what he had just said to Finney.

He noticed Finney's eyes becoming bloodshot, his lips trembling slightly. Finney looked away, biting his lower lip.

Robin swallowed thickly, He didn't even want to look at Finney. He had hurt him, and he knew it.

"Stop acting so clueless, Finney. How can you not see that I like you?" His voice cracked, making it hard for him to speak. It felt like there was something heavy in his throat.

"I'm sorry," Finney peered at him, tears streaming down his cheek.

"Just don't," Robin responded firmly.

"You know. I could love you. I just really really don't want to. We would not be a good idea. And it sucks. It sucks because every night, it's killing me. I'm so tired of pretending not to notice that you like me," Finney cried, taking short breaths.

Before finney could even look at robin, he immediately locked him in his arms. He closed his eyes as he feels the warm embrace of the other, he felt safe and comfortable, but he knew, that he can never return the love that robin gave to him.

Robin held Finney tightly, not caring about the tears streaming down both their faces. In that moment, all the anger and hurt seemed to dissipate, replaced by a sense of understanding.

"I'm sorry, Robin," Finney whispered, his voice muffled against Robin's shoulder.

Robin squeezed him tighter, not wanting to let go. "I'm sorry too, Finney. I didn't mean to lash out like that. I just... I couldn't bear the thought of losing you. But i know i already did"

Finney pulled back slightly, looking into Robin's eyes. "You won't lose me, Robin. I care about you too much. But I can't give you the love you want. I wish I could, but it's not fair to either of us."

Robin nodded, a mix of pain and acceptance etched on his face. "I understand, Finney."

Finney wiped away his tears, mustering a weak smile. "Thank you, Robin."

They stood there for a few more moments, finding solace in each other's presence. It wasn't the outcome Robin had hoped for, but at least they had expressed their true feelings and reached a mutual understanding.

With heavy hearts, they finally let go of each other and started walking back home, their friendship forever changed but still intact. They knew they had a long road ahead. Robin had prepared for this outcome, but he never knew that it would hurt him this much.

He was his friend, and he would always be just a friend.
