"You heard me. Breathe a word of that to any of our siblings and I'll cut your arm off."
—————
After watching Five come out of a portal that opened out of nowhere, we were all sitting around a table, watching five make his sandwich.
"What's the date? The exact date."
"The 24th." Vanya answered quickly.
"Of what?" He seemed annoyed by everyone here.
"March." I answered, crossing my arms. I stood next to Luther watching Five make his peanut butter and marshmallow sandwich. Watching him make one really started making me hungry. I hadn't eaten yet today.
Not sparing me a glance, Five replied, "Good."
"So, are we gonna talk about what just happened?" Luther asked like Five should have already told everyone.
Five paid no attention to his question and placed both his slices of bread down on a cutting board. Luther got tired of this and stood up. I moved to the side slightly as he towered over me right next to me. I'd have to admit that is a bit scary.
"It's been 17 years."
"It's been a lot longer than that." Five spacial jumped to behind Luther to get marshmallows for his sandwich that I so desperately wanted to eat.
"I haven't missed that." Luther muttered, rolling his eyes.
"Where'd you go?" Diego pipped in.
"The future. It's shit, by the way."
"Called it!" Klaus pointed his finger up and looked at me with a smug smirk. "Pay up, Y/n"
"Damnit." I muttered out, grabbing a 20 dollar bill and slapping it in his hand. I noticed Five looked up from his sandwich slightly to look at what had happened. He gave me a small glance and went back to his big speech.
"I should've listened to the old man. You know, jumping through space is one thing, jumping through time is a toss of the dice." He grabbed his jar from the fridge. I was trying my hardest to think of something snarky to tell him. I really wanted to get on his nerves. I just needed to do it to feel complete. I couldn't think of anything which was really pissing me off.
"Nice dress." Five looked up slowly. I made eye contact with him when he said that, only to realize he was talking about Klaus. Obviously. Why would he be talking about me? We hate each other. Well- We haven't seen each other in 17 years. Maybe things had changed for him? Five noticed I looked towards him when he said that and was definitely preparing to annoy me. "I wasn't talking about you y/n."
I scoffed and narrowed my eyes. Guess he still did hate me. "I know that. I'm not an idiot."
"Whatever you say." He gave me one of those sarcastic smiles that show his dimples. I was so close to charging at him but I tried to remain calm.
"It's okay, y/n. I love your cute little dress on your cute little body. And with that cute little hair and that cute little face-" Klaus was ranting on and on about me. He definitely was high.
"Okay, okay, I get it. Thank you, Klaus." I turned to him and smiled.
"Wait, how did you get back?" Vanya asked the question most of us were wondering.
"In the end, I had to project my consciousness forward into a suspended quantum state version of myself that exists across every possible instance of time." I thought for a second, taking that new information in. That made sense to me. Easy to understand.
