    Carlos nodded. "What?" I verbalized.
"I said-"
"I heard you, motherfucker." I hissed. Sebastian grabbed my thigh softly and I turned to look at him. His eyes knowing. I shut my eyes and took in a deep breath. "Hear me out, before you claw my throat." He waved.

I opened my eyes and waved my hand. "What do you mean?" I asked, exasperation in my tone. "You very clearly stated you don't want to go, but I hear Levi and Anastasia broke up," he practically whined. "I already called your mom and asked, which she approved-"

"What?" I asked again. I picked up my phone. No missed calls nor texts. "She trusts you too much." I sighed. "No.. she just knows you need to get out." He pointed. I shot him a look, you spewin to much of my information. He shrugged me off. "If it makes you feel any better, I'll probably show up." Sebastian stated. "You will?!" I heard Jade ask.

I sighed irritated again. Sebastian rubbed up and down my thigh sending a jolt up my back. Irritation no more. "I guess you have to stay around. This is the most quiet she's been all year." Carlos teased. I snarled at him. There was something seriously wrong with me. Sebastian covered my mouth. "Bumblebee, you've gotta keep it down." he stated quietly. I glanced around and huffed again. "Okay but seriously, what's up with you? Period?" Carlos asked he sounded genuine with his question. Maybe a little concerned.

Maybe he was right, bobcats typically had a mating period through February to March. Seeing as I am a human female ontop of having a bobcat side, my periods are like little — heats. Every month. For a week. Two days of bleeding and five days of nonstop sexual frustration. It's not like I had a partner nor had a want for one. So my "heats" were just periods but with less pain and more growing sexual frustration.

Now, it made perfect sense for Carlos to assume this. And I whole heartedly agreed. But the fact he said this around the people we were around made me want to cry, again. "I'm sorry I'm sorry - everyone forget what I said" he waved heavily looking at my face. I covered my face and Sebastian chuckled. Why does everyone think everything is funny? It's not. At least it wasn't to me.

By the end of the day Sebastian and Carlos had made sure i didn't get upset again. Thankfully my mood stabilized the more I was around Sebastian. He helped me out so much, I asked him if he had missed his last two classes to be with me and Carlos but he promised me he hadn't. I had checked his schedule to make sure.

He had skipped the first two of his classes that day simply to sleep. The look I gave him I'm sure was enough to assure himself he wouldn't do it again. Classes are important. Especially as juniors.

I stood breathing in the deep October air. Halloween wasn't for another — three days? But the party made sense. They threw big parties a week before a school dance so everyone had something to talk about till the dance. Me and Carlos usually had horror movie marathons. Carlos came out with Sebastian chatting up about something. Probably a game, if I were being honest again, I didn't process what was said.

Even though I heard great I didn't process well. Sebastian came over and wrapped his arm around my waist. I don't know why he's doing me like this. It feels so good. He smells so good. And I couldn't have him any closer. Seriously, at this point I wanted him in my skin. I wanted him impossibly close. I would settle for him holding me.

"You two are going the same way right?" Carlos asked Sebastian. I shook my head. "Pack lands, human lands." I pointed to him then me. "Oh, how's that work?" Carlos asked me. I crossed my legs and leaned against Sebastian. "Even though me and mom are allowed in pack lands we're not necessarily accepted. If at all." I stated. "What do you mean?"

Sebastian asked seemingly confused. "The Luna, she doesn't like the smell of cats, as she's said." I stated loosely. "I can't stand that bitch." Sebastian cursed lowly. Some heads turned and I pushed against Sebastian some more. "Don't say that here." I mumbled looking up at him. He glanced at me before away. I slid my hand over his torso and he sucked in a breath.

"Are shifters always this touchy?" Carlos asked, his lips set in a slight frown. I hummed before ultimately pulling back, Sebastian however was not having it. He kept me close. "Me and my mom are touchy but skin ship is important." I shrugged. It wasn't to us bobcats, I just liked touching him and needed an excuse.

"Right, are you ready?" Carlos asked. "For?" I hummed. "Party, that we have too - get ready for?" His face confused. Fuck, I forgot about that. "Oh yeah, are you still coming?" I turned asking Sebastian. He hummed and looked down at me, his thumb skimmed my cheek and nodded. "I'll be there." He promised me. I nodded and turned. "Let's go." I nodded towards our houses.

Carlos didn't seem amused, actually maybe upset. Once me and Sebastian separated Carlos wrapped his arm around me. I didn't like it, me and Carlos never really touched. We hugged occasionally and he kissed my forehead when I was having panic attacks. That was it.

"What are you doing?" I asked shrugging his arm off. "Well you said shifters like skinship. I'm trying to give you more of that." He responded wrapping his arm around me again. I hated lying, but too keep it up I had too. We got to my house chatting about random things. The usual oh okay and sure's leaving my mouth in response.

Getting to my house, the two story, four bedroom, two bathroom, kitchen, attic, usual home; I immediately got comfortable. Taking my coat, shoes, and jeans off. My house shorts under my jeans and my white cropped tee shirt giving way. Carlos let out a chuckle and I rolled my eyes. "Are you guys home?" My mom called from the kitchen. Outfit and shoes in hand I sped into the kitchen.

She wasn't cooking sadly but she was eating something. "Whatcha eating?" I asked grinning. She rolled her eyes, turning it to me. "Ah! Aw mom. My favorite!" I clapped my hands actively. It was Tyra's soul kitchen. She had gotten a number four, my favorite. Three pieces of fried chicken; usually a breast and two thighs, collard greens, mashed potatoes and two pieces of hot water cornbread.

Now, believe what you want. But I love me some chicken. Chicken is so simple and you can never go wrong with it, unless of course, it's dry. Get out the kitchen if you can't cook the simplest of dishes. "So party?" My mom asked looking up from her phone. Her blonde curls bouncing happily, wig or not she bought it so it was her hair. "Mhm." I responded frowning as I ate.

See this is why I love Tyra. Her food saves the soul. "What are you wearing?" My mom asked. I sighed and shrugged taking a bite of the collard greens. "Okay well — figure that out." She waved looking back down at her phone. I sighed rolling my eyes. She looked up, her eyes flashing emerald green. I picked up the plate and marched up stairs.

That woman didn't play, she never beat me but we did have the occasional growl fest when our periods synced up.
