As soon as you are awake again, you take off like a bullet. Aubrey's Cinccino clashes against Lopunny, but the tall monster of a Pokémon catches the thing's fruitless strike with a single swipe of an arm. The Cinccino is sent flying into the wall, where it shrieks in pain and lays with its bloody back arched. Eyes wide, Aubrey utters a bloodcurdling scream.
"Cinccino!"
Lopunny's eyes are cast toward Aubrey's weak, vulnerable human self like two bloody moons. She takes one step forward, silent but deadly. She has easily taken care of the girl's Cinccino. Now she wants Aubrey. This time you have a feeling Lopunny will do much more than alter her memories.
You don't let her take that second step. The Lopunny in that headspace, the one who is not a monster, told you to hold onto this Lopunny in the real world. These are your conditions, you repeat in your head as you rush forward and tackle Lopunny to the ground.
You latch onto her like a ravenous talon, bringing her down.
"Don't... don't fight!" you shout. Lopunny growls, not breaking a single sweat to detach you from her, no matter how tight you hug her fur. With her strength, she tosses you into the air where your head nearly grazes the ceiling, and Lopunny follows through with a jab to your gut as you fall. Taking such a powerful hit, you cough and land on the ground with a thud.
"Stop it!" Aubrey shouts. In the heat of the moment, you find the girl joining you, grabbing onto Lopunny's arms and trying to wrestle her. As you watch her struggle and scratch, you tell yourself it's just hopeless
Aubrey is even weaker than you.
Lopunny swats the girl's entire body away and doesn't just stop there. You clench your gut, looking up quickly to find Lopunny taking the girl by her throat and shoving her into the wall, denting the pretty wallpaper easily.
Aubrey's voice dies out as her throat is practically crushed, her eyes filling with tears brought on by the immense pain. She kicks her legs as she is suffocated, trying anything — anything to get Lopunny off.
You yell out, scrambling to your feet, squaring your shoulder like a football player and crying Lopunny's name as you ram into her body.
She staggers, knocking hard against the wall. Her attention is back on you. Her fingers release Aubrey's throat and reach for you instead. Instinctively you grab Lopunny's wrist to hold her at bay. At this, she's quick to try and pull her arm away, but despite her efforts, you hold tightly on.
"Master," Lopunny warns in such a condescending tone but you pay her no mind. You hold onto her wrist, pulling her away from Aubrey as the girl recovers, coughing up a few specks of blood and holding her bruised throat.
