Pride and Honor

Izayoi and his son had returned to the kingdom to close off the deal they had went there to accomplish. This time though was different, Izayoi and his son had their eyes set on something different or should I say someone.

"NO! THERE IS NO WAY I WILL WILLINGLY WED MY SON TO YOU." Kyushu's voice bellowed throughout the castle walls. His feet buried firm in the polished marble floor, his hand gripped harshly onto the table, his once perfectly groomed hair now out of place, long razor shape fangs slowly grew exposing themselves to the enemy. Izayoi and Ryuukutsai had come to the kingdom early that morning and had started off their meeting very casually. All was going well until Ryuukutsai mentioned Mae's name and the real reason why he had accompanied his father to the kingdom. Kyushu was furious, bringing peace to their lands was very important, but it was not going to come at the expense of his only child.

"Lord Kyushu, please listen to your words and reconsider. If both our children should come together that would create an even better bond amongst our people and would expand on our territory." Izayoi folded his arms as he rest back in his seat. He was quite content on how this meeting was going and he was expecting Kyushu to put up a fight before lamenting giving in. At least that's what he thought.

"If that is the only way to stop the feud between our lands, then even more feuds will occur among our people, for I will not bend to such demands." Kyushu composed himself and sat back elegantly in his cushion sit. Ryuukutsai sat silently, listening to his father and Kyushu argues about the matter at hand. He knew his father would not stop until he got what he wanted, that was always the case with other Lords, but Kyushu was far more imoveable then all the other rest. Things were not looking good for the lake prince and his father. Kyushu was now bored and he wanted them out of his sight now, he wasn't sure how much longer he could hold his anger within him so he rose slowly and looked at them both.

"Lord Izayoi, Prince Ryuukutsai. It is unfortunate that we will not be allying lands for what you have asked for is more than I can give."

"Are you sure this is the path you want to take, this proposal coul-" Izayoi was cut off when Kyushu again.

"I have already made my choice, my son will NEVER marry yours. This meeting is over you may leave." Izayoi felt the power in Kyushu's voice and he almost showed that he was indeed afraid if the crusnik Lord. Ryuukutsai realize his father's failure to hide his fear and stood quick.

"Very well then Lord Kyushu, but be remained that this is not over, not while I still desire your son." Izayoi looked at his son then stood as well. It was clear that he will not get what he want from the Lord.

"I will be waiting." Kyushu replied firmly. Ryuukutsai and his father left without another word. This was not what they had expected so they needed to think of a plan to acquire their goal.

Kyushu sat back in his seat once more, placing his elbows on the table and set his hands in a way so that he could rest his chin on it. Keiske entered the room but Kyushu didn't even move to acknowledge his lover. Keiske walked over to him and placed a hand on his shoulder as a sign to comfort the worried lord.

"We may have to increase guards around Mae and keep him within the walls of the castle as of now on." Kyushu finally spoke staring blankly in corner of the room. Keiske needed not for Kyushu to explain himself for he had overheard the argument between the lords. Keiske kneeled beside his lover and placed a light kiss on his forehead then spoke softly.

"I will see to it myself then my Lord." Just as he was about to raise and carry out his lord's demand he was pulled back down into a robust yet passionate kiss causing him to sit in the lord's lap. The kiss lasted for nearly 10 minutes as it became difficult for Keiske to breathe, panting hard as trying to catch his breath.

"I will protect you both to my last breathe." Kyushu looked up into Keiske eyes.

"No my Lord, it is I who will give my life for you, I made a vow long ago to stand by your side and take any hit that might come your way and I promise I will live up to my vow." Keiske leaned in and kissed Kyushu once more before leaving the room to tend to Mae.
