A Gloomy Future (Part Two)

The Devastating End

Four months have passed and mysterious happiness had clouded his kingdom. Never had the citizens of the kingdom looked so at peace, as if there was no segregation amongst his people.

"Something isn't right mother, my people look too content." Kyushu stood in his conference room looking through the great glass window. True, this peace looked too forced upon.

"Crusniks, vampires, demons and humans alike are all in harmony together. There is definitely something wrong my Lord." Yura, Kyushu's mother spoke formally to her son. Even though she has been alive for more than 150 centuries, she herself had never seen anything like this before.

"Both vampires and demons have changed their eating habits, my Lord. Vampires refuse to drink blood of humans and the demon dare not look at meat." General Shin, commander of the Crusnik Imperial Army spoke. Everyone gasp as the words of the general sounded unbelievable, each looking at each other while Kyushu's back was turned to them.

"Human women are falling madly in love with vampires and demons, the males are willingly becoming slaves for them as well both physical and sexual." Keiske words came out low and soft but were still loud enough for the members to hear. 'What is becoming of my land? Why is all of this happening?' Kyushu thought to himself.

"My Lady, has anything like this happened before in our land?" the general asked.

"I'm afraid not or else we would know what to do now. The creatures of this land have never step foot out of their species." Yura answered. All was silently until the Emperor for the Demons, Xiang spoke.

"Then ...Then why is this happening?"

Everyone was silent again until Kyushu decided to break the silence.

"It is because of Lord Izayoi."

"The Lord of the Lake?" Asked General Shin.

"But why would he do such a thing." Said Hwan, Emperor of the Vampires.

"It is because of our beloved Prince." Yura spoke. "Lord Izayoi decided that he wants to mate his wrenched son to our untainted Prince." Everyone snarl and whispered words of disgust. It was clear that even the members didn't find the Lord of the Lake desirable.

"Not to worry my friends, I simply denied their request and sent them on their way. No one will ever take our prince anyway from us." Kyushu smiled inwardly as he felt everyone smiled in support of him, he was truly a great leader and he made sure everyone knew that.

"My Lord, is Master Mae aware of the situation?" Hwan asked just then the doors to the conference swung open and there stood the beautiful young prince with two servants who accompanied him everywhere.

"I'm fully aware of the situation Emperor Hwan" everyone turned to the voice of the Prince, Kyushu turned away from the window to look at his dazzling son. He wasn't raise to be a bold and outspoken boy, but when he was around the emperors, lords and ladies he was totally a difference person.

"Mae, I thought you were at lessons with Elders Fang and Lou." Kyushu acknowledges the prince.

"I finished a few hours ago and thought that I would attend the meeting." Mae replied.

"With all due respect young master, this meeting is not intended for you." General Shin spoke, he didn't want to upset the prince but this was not a meeting for the prince.

Mae turned towards the general and spoke softly stepping into the room.

"My good General Shin Uta, I too have noticed the spell case upon my people and if we are to do anything about it then everyone within the confines of this castle should play their part respectively." There was no doubt in Kyushu's mind that his prince would be an even greater ruler then himself. The words that came from Mae's lips made him proud. The general looked at the prince, amazed at what he heard, he slowly stood up knelt down on one knee bowing to the prince.
