Death and Darkness

Prologue

    One time, long ago, there was a girl with a horrific past. Her parents died right in front of her eyes in a horrific car accident. She was majorly injured and spent months in the hospital. The bottom half of her body became paralyzed, she could never walk again. Over time everything else healed but the one thing nobody could fix was the memories of her past.

    After the incident the girl went to live with with her aunt, who was a widow herself. She lived alone and was afraid of everything. The girl never got to have a real close bond with her.

    After settling in, she met a a kid from the neighborhood, a nice tall boy with short blond hair. They were great together. They laughed and enjoyed each other's company. One day her friend vanished, leaving no trace behind. The police couldn't find anything either. The girl was once again reminded of grief and for once in her life she was happy, but that was taken away from her.

    About a month later people started dying suddenly. No one knew why or how, but the deaths were pretty gruesome. The girls neighbor was walking his dog when a truck full of gasoline crashed into the power line causing it to collapsed on him. This ignited a flame and burned him to death. One day later her teacher died when she was at her extra job and a machine crushed her to death.

    When people heard about these incidents most people decided to stay inside. The town was almost empty and most shops were closed. The girl however had better things to do then staying inside. She thought to herself, I don't have anything left to lose so why not leave. She grabbed her coat and crutches and walked out the door not looking back.

   She was alone, walking along a pier when she saw a middle aged man, around 40 wearing a navy blue sweat shirt, running into an ally. Shortly after an ominous figure clocked in a dark robe came after him. Quickly, The girl ran behind a dumpster and watched as the mysterious person murdered the man.

     The mysterious person made their way to the dumpster where the girl was. She started to push herself father behind the dumpster to get away from him. She could see on the persons face there was a mask. It came closer and took of its mask. She recognized the face. It was her friend who had disappeared months ago. "Tristan" she said, "is that you"? The boy nodded his head, not saying any words. "I missed you so much, what happened" she cried. He just shook his head once more. "Why won't you speak" the girl exclaimed. Silently he muttered the words "darkness will rule, darkness will rule"! She then stood up and spoke, "my life was terrible until I became friends with you. You were the very best friend I had, but when you left I was lost again. Now I want to stay with you forever. I love you". Tristan nodded his head and took the girls hand. He then pulled out a sword and stuck it right through her heart. She collapsed and started compulsive muttering the words, what and why. Finally she went still. A few moments later she woke up. Coming to her senses she said, "what happened" she stood up trying to grasp the nearest object. When she was finally up she remembered she was paralyzed, except she could walk and had full mobility in her lower body. "What was going on" she wondered. While looking up She saw that Tristan had put on his mask again. He put his hand out and she grabbed it. "Thanks," she said. He started pulling her down the alley way further. He started to say, "death and darkness side by side, death and darkness will never die"! She wondered what he meant by all of this. They got to a dead end and he reached inside his cloak for something. As he pulled it out she noticed it was a piece of paper. She couldn't really make out what was on it. He began to place it down on the concrete. When he finished that he started to draw out his sword. He took it and slit the girls arm. "OW" she exclaimed! "What was that for"? He started to hover over the piece of paper. A little bit of the girls blood dripped on to it. The paper then started glowing red. "I need your blood so you can enter the underworld. In order to enter a person must sacrifice some of their blood for the great devil God" he said. "Devils, underworld"? She said inquisitively. The wall in the alley way dead end started opening. "Looks like the the portal's open" Tristan said grabbing the girls arm. "Let's go" he said as they ran into the portal.
