4th grade

Part one

A little girl named Sophie, she wasn't well known at school. She had a best friend named Chloe, it was summer then. Her and Chloe would chat daily, they even had a thing for each other but couldn't come to tell each other...
Time would pass by through the summer when Sophie discovered her period. It was extremely hard to deal with at first because she hadn't know she gotten it before it was to late. Her close family supported her through her first period and made her comfortable in her body. Later when she got home she texted Chloe about it and Chloe was very excited for her as well from what she read.

Sophie was at her grandmas when her mother called her grandma to tell her that the school had called because of chats between me and Chloe. Sophie was scared because she didn't remember what we talked about.
She told Sophie that the office of the school had told her that Sophie texted Chloe that she cut herself. It was a misunderstanding, Sophie texted Chloe that her black was blood as she saw on her period so she cut herself to see if it was true. Sophie didn't know better and was clueless on shit at the time.
She ended up getting in huge trouble, which was that she couldn't talk to Chloe anymore. She was obviously scared to be without someone she thought she loved.
Her mother also was mad at Sophie for being unserious about the situation. At that point Sophie felt absolutely terrible and it was like she couldn't show emotion. Other people would say how she was rude and disrespectful, but mainly she was emotional less.
One day before summer was ending, Sophie felt better a bit and went to her grandparents kitchen and grabbed her computer from its hiding place her grandmother put it in. She opened her computer, charged it some and went on chat to text Chloe without anyone knowing. She saw how Chloe had texted her and felt bad because she never told her that she couldn't talk to her. Sophie decided to text her crush and tried to act fine while doing it. She doesn't quite remember if her crush texted her back, but all she knew is that a few days after school started, her and Chloe talked a bunch and basically best friends again.
Sophie couldn't help but not feel very happy, why isn't she happy?
