Met a Girl

I met a girl,
She was serious and wise.
She took me dancing, under night skies.
Now I wear her pride like a crown.

I met a girl,
She was sweet and kind.
She took me to see the sunset on Mars.
Sometimes she'd give me seashells of all kinds

Some day I might meet a girl quite like the one I found.

I met a girl,
She was tense and on-point,
Her heart was a book full of poems to behold.
We read all the old poems she'd found.

I met a girl,
She was salty and cruel,
She said she hates my soul, so
I listened to her till the sun went down.
She was not like the ones I usually find,
Into my arms she left her sorrows and
Walked on.
