juni's apartment, nyc.
IT IS ALMOST 1:45AM WHEN JUNIPER gets the call that snaps her out of bed.
Her phone had rung out several times before Juni had finally stirred. All tangled between her king-sized sheets, she grapples for her phone and groans into the speaker. The voice that greets her is ripe with panic, enough to scare her into opening her eyes. The city lights twinkle across her room and cast a strange blue light upon her pillow. The TV is still playing, though now on mute, and it takes her a moment to gather her surroundings. She looks at her phone and sees a dozen missed calls from her mother.
"Juni?" Roman asks, his voice low and ragged.
"Roman?" she murmurs a little hazily. "What time is it?"
"I don't...I don't know. Look, can you just get down here? I need some fucking moral support."
Juni takes a breath. "Why? What's...what's going on?"
