It's been a few days since that dream. But the weird sensations are growing stronger.
In order to make herself feel better, Marnie talks to her stepsister, Penny, a marine biologist. Surely she would know about this sort of thing.
"So," Penny starts. "Your vision was blurry, you were huge, you said?"
Marnie answers. "Yeah. Like I had a huge mouth, I don't know, just... It was really fun and I cut through the water so easily. I've tried looking it up but I can't find anything!"
The blonde girl shuffles in her seat. "What was it like? In the water. Darker or lighter? Because not all animals live in the same zones. Benthic or Pelagic, you know?"
"Um...it was all blue, and when I looked up there wasn't really a sun, but there was still light." responds Marnie.
"Okay, Marnie, that's the ocean. Can you, like, be more specific?"
"Sorry! I don't think I was super deep."
"Alright. I got a few suspects." she slides a list to the girl. "Bad eyesight. Big mouth. Huge. You had spots. This is narrowing it down. Tropical surface waters. I think I've got an idea, but I'm gonna need to research a little more."
And at that Penny put down her notebook, cleaned up the table a bit, and drove Marnie home (but not before waving bye to her fiancée, Eloise!)
From behind the screen door, they can clearly see an excited Mariposa. Novia lets her open the door and greet the girls. Marnie says her goodbyes and comes in. She heads to the bathroom to brush her teeth, and when she looks in the mirror, she sees something taht doesn't look like her. But she just blinks and it goes away.

Her nerves keep waking Marnie up.It was so bizarre. Having a dream from the perspective of an animal. Looking in the mirror and seeing an animal instead of your own face. Tomorrow she'll talk about it to her friends, but for now, she just wants to sleep.
