As the lesson started I was looking at Alina. Thinking about us hugging. But I said to myself "I can't be a lesbian.". I promise to myself, I won't imagine anything more than hugging to keep myself safe. But then my friend John bumps into my arm saying I lost my passport that I had in my bag. I kindly asked him to give it back to me but he threw it in Chris's hand instead. The teacher needed to leave the classroom for five minutes because of a phone call, after she left Chris thought it's gonna be really funny to look inside my passport. He was laughing at the picture I had there. I was eight when I received that passport. Until Chris said these words...
"Yo, why is there a Latvian nationality?" I stand in a total shock.
"Your name isn't Alexandra Crouse but it's Aleksandra Šķerstene?" I was so scared when he said "Born in Liepāja???" Alina was looking at Chris leaking my whole biggest secret. After that Chris's friend Jay noticed a paper fall out of my passport. It was a paragraph about my whole when I was moving to the United Kingdom All in English to train my language skills. So Jay began to read it. "Hello, my name is Aleksandra Šķerstene, I was born in Liepāja, which is located in the west of Latvia. When I was 6 I moved to the capital city of Latvia Rīga. When I was 9 my parents broke up and so me and my mom decided to move to a small village where our family was from called Šļopkine, located in the East of Latvia few kilometers from the Russian border." Everyone was looking at me in shock. Even Alina did. So I inhaled and exhaled saying "Sarkanbaltsarkanais mastā plīvo". Which is a patriotic sentence in Latvian. Everyone was really impressed. Jay continued to read it. "Currently I am 10 years old and I am moving to Portsmouth, United Kingdom. I'm very excited." I see Alina stand up, walk up to Jay and take my documents out of his hand. She came up to me and handed them to me saying "Meet me at the toilets after this lesson". After she finished this sentence the teacher walked through the door saying that the class was dissmised. We all started calling our parents to pick all of us up. When my mom came to the school everyone came up to her asking if we are really Latvian. She exhaled saying, Yes with a really strong Latvian accent. I noticed my mom standing in the door around like 20 kids. As I'm slowly walking up to her Alina pushes me to the wall saying "Alright, so I didn't know you weren't from the UK but alright, what they did was nasty and us immigrants we don't have it easy." I said that I agree with all she said. And I should have told everyone that I'm not from the UK already. She said "Tommorow, get ready we are going to kick their asses". She let's me go saying "Bye Alex!". As I walkes up to my mom she took me quick and lead me to the car. We got in, we are driving home and she says. "Aleksandra, es zinu tev patīk Alīnu bet kāpēc?" Which means "Alexandra, I know you like Alina but why?". I didn't answer to her question. We arrived home and then...
