The next day I woke up with totally wet lashes. I wiped them. I hear my mom calling me so I quickly rush to the kitchen in my pajamas. Mom said we will be moving in less than a month and handed me a few boxes to put my stuff into. I go to my room and start putting stuff into the boxes. Everybody was at school. I was miserable. When I was in the middle of my packing I received a text message from the private number. It said "Hey Alex. It's Alina. I'm so so so sorry about what happened, I'll be at your crib around 3 PM.". I was actually really happy and answered with "Okay. I'm excited.". I went to get some more sleep and I wake up with my mom standing next to Alina. My mom said "This girl said she will help you with some homework." I said "Yep. Come right in girl.". My mom shut the bedroom door and we started laughing. When our laughter ended Alina asked me what are those boxes. "I'm already packing up my stuff to move back to Latvia.". I said. "Oh! I was reading about the tragedy that happened in Šļopkine! So sorry!". Alina said. "What? What happened there?". I asked. Alina said "Šļopkine was bombed by Russian forces. But Latvians don't want to fight back yet. Putin claims it was an accident...." I got pale. I was shocked and had to sit. "What about my Grandma?!" I asked. "I'm so sorry Alex. The whole village was destroyed. I pray for you." Alina said. She hugged me tight. My mom walked in and handed us some tea. I couldn't tell her about our grandmother most likely dying in a bombing. That would tear her apart. We thanked her for the tea and let her leave. When she suddenly screams" Ar dievu! ". And storms into the room saying" Aleksandra! We're moving tommorow!" I said" What?!! " and she answeres with" Yes I was reading the wrong date.". Me and Alina look at eachother in a huge shock. My mom left and Alina started crying while hugging me saying" Please don't leave me in your class, I couldn't even bare week without you. Please... " I calmly said"Alina I am really sorry but I have to go..." We were both sobbing in eachothers arms. Alina already had to go home. So I handed her a coat and said "Text me when you get home, alright?". Alina agreed and left. I went back to my room and stared at the dark ceiling. "Why do we have to move back to Latvia?, It's been years since I spoke Latvian. I don't even know if I know the language..." I whispered with a calm and cracking voice. My eyes were closing and I fell asleep slowly...
