Dear friend,
Right now it's Sunday morning...
I know I usually only write once a week but I'm kinda bored so I thought I'd tell you about yesterday!
Normal time waking up and getting to boxing.
I got in to see Daryl's gorgeous grin once again.
I went to sign in.
"Daryl Smith" was the name scribbled above mine. I'll have to remember that! (No, don't think like that! I only added him on Facebook!)
Anyway.
"Alright Phoebe!" he waved and then he began his skipping.
His friend Patrick was there too. And a a couple of guys I hadn't seen before, but obviously were friends of Daryl.
One was short with dark hair.
The other was tall and skinny, light hair and braces.
This week I was partners with the tall skinny guy *sad face*
He seemed nice and all...
But I tried to say hi and he just looked at me, had a coughing fit and walked off...
Weird...
Oh well!
I didn't get to talk to the other guy.
There were some more little kids at the gym today who joined in with circuit training!
Daryl had to teach them how to do the exercises!
It was pretty cute.
Especially when taught them how to do step ups.
The kids were only as tall as his knees but they looked up at him as he took one step onto the box step and then copied his exact move again and again.
When we finally got to the sparring, Andy, one of the coaches managed to persuade a little girl to join in too, I was asked to be a punch-dummy.
Daryl took one of the younger boys into the ring while me and the girl followed.
Me and Daryl fell to our knees.
"Right, punch me as hard as you can!" I heard him say to the kid. And he let out all his energy into punching Daryl in the face. I couldn't help but laugh.
The little girl attempted to punch me. Missing a few times, even though I was kneeling and not actually moving around at all!
She seemed to enjoy it if I cried in pain so I went into drama queen mode (hehe!)
It was half 11 so it was the end of the session for the kids, I went for a rest and to get a drink.
Daryl followed.
So did the little girl.
"Are you two brother and sister?" She asked.
I laughed.
"Yes." Daryl said very seriously.
And she ran back to her mother, obviously telling her what Daryl had said, she looked a little confused, as we look nothing alike, I just shrugged at her and smiled.
When the little kids left me, Daryl and the other guys went into the ring for some "proper" sparring!
"Punch me in the face this time?" Daryl said.
"No!" I laughed
Before I heard Andy say to one of the parents, "Those 2 are great with the kids!"
"Aww! Just imagine him doing that with your kids!!!" Eleanor squealed down the phone. Yeah I was obviously going to tell her! She knows about everything!
Even when I don't actually tell her...
After we went home I remember his last name...
It couldn't hurt to see if he has Facebook!
I typed it in.
His profile came up.
It looked like he was wearing a rugby top?
He wasn't even smiling.
"Smiling is too mainstream!"
I decided to press the "Add Friend" button.
I knew he'd be busy now so I just waited...
And waited...
Me and my parents went for tea at Wetherspoons when it happened.
I had a burger ( with bacon, cheese, lettuce, egg and 2 burgers! Nom.) with chips and a Monster energy drink!
As I was about to take my first bite.
*BUZZ*
"Daryl Smith has accepted your fiend request"
*BUZZ*
"Daryl Smith has posted on your timeline"
My heart literally skipped a beat.
I clicked on the notification.
"PUNCH ME IN THE FACE!!!!!"
I just laughed.
I typed "Noooo :P" with my free hand and pressed enter.
"But I needed you to punch me in the face :(" he commented almost instantly
"Fine... Maybe I'll punch you next week;)"
"Yay!"
and I just smiled to myself.
