Full-time remote work brought me to various locations, and I became a digital nomad. My partner was a great sport traveling with me as the mobility was less natural for him. I would spend longer stretches away, mostly in arid Southwestern landscapes where the badlands were healing for me. Feeling far removed from my former New York self, I wore t-shirts with distinct regional references as Mojave or Saguaro, basking in these places even if the stay was temporal.

I mentally shared panoramas with you of the views I was seeing. The blue aura of your higher self would take in the scenery. In return I would receive glimpses of Northeastern mountains. Our telepathy, becoming more acute. The day before another wave of lockdown, you would give me a recognizable sign. One that had me time travel.
