TW: VIOLENCE, A GUNSHOT, BLOOD, AND THINGS OF THE SORT!
"Don't forget to do your homework!" My teacher hollers as all the students gather their things. The bell just rung a few seconds ago and everyone was waiting for that moment to arrive.
I sigh. I didn't like having homework on the weekends. If my parents knew when I got homework, they'd constantly bug me about it. They'd say, "Tsukasa, you need to do your homework!" or "Tsukasa, you can't go to ____ until you do your homework!" It was stupid, honestly.
I didn't have many friends at school either. I was typically considered a 'weirdo' since my best friend, Rui, always caused mayhem at school. He'd bring explosives, robots, and whatever other weird shit he has at his house.
Speaking of which, he's probably waiting for me. I rush out of my classroom with my things. We usually met outside. The reason for that was because our other friend, Nene, who was a first year; her class was closer to the entrance/exit than our classes.
"Tsukasa-kun, there you are!" Rui had a bright smile spread across his face. His hair was a bit frizzled and he had a bruise on the side of his mouth. He typically was injured. I never asked why though. I just assumed he got physically bullied a lot.
I grin, " Hey, Rui." I look around for Nene. She wasn't with us. "Where's Nene?" I ask.
He crosses his arms. "Nene got sent home. She had a fever." he says.
I nod. It wasn't often that Nene got sick since she stayed inside so much. She rarely went places unless we forced her to. She seriously needs to get her act together..
"Well, if thats the case, allow I, Tenma Tsukasa, to walk you home!" I give a sharp and independent smile. I acted confident infront of people despite my lack of self-love.
Rui simply shakes his head. "That won't be necessary, Tsukasa-kun. Thank you for the offer though," He says.
I grab his hand and bring it up to my chest. "No no, I insist! I don't mind walking you home at all! I don't have to be home until 8pm tonight!"
He chuckles. "That's not it." his smile looked a bit broken as if he were lying. I couldn't tell though. Not like I cared much. "I have to go pick up groceries for my mother. She sent me a text message of what we need." he explains.
That's why he didn't want me to walk him home..
"Then why don't I come with you? I'm super good at shopping!" I let go of his hand.
He hesitates. "No, no, really.. I'd just rather go alone." Rui sounded like he was trying his best to sound truthful, but I knew there had to of been a small lie between those words. I ignored it though. I didn't have enough care for lies to actually confront him about it.
I sigh, "Well, if you say so! Just call me if you need anything, 'kay?" I mutter.
He nods. "Okay, now I better hurry up because some of the coupons she gave me expire in less than an hour." he grins before running off and waving. "See you tomorrow!"
I hated seeing him leave. I can't explain it, but to me, Rui seems like a totally different person than most people I know. He seems more... I don't even know. No word in the dictionary can describe this feeling.
At least, not that I know of..

I hold my stomach. It hurt like hell. It was probably something I ate... Or I got injured and my healing ability is on it's way to heal it.. I hope not.
Right, I didn't mention..
A lot of people in this world have powers. It's slightly rare but not completely. One of the rarest powers though.. Is healing. Fortunately, I have healing as my power!
