The moment Mikey and Draken walked to the top of the Musashi Shrine with Natsu and Wendy, everyone was in shock at what they were seeing. Since when did the leaders of Toman have two little kids following them?

Baji: Yeah, who are they? Did you and Mikey have kids in secret or something?
Draken: No! We just found these kids, and they followed us!
Mitsuya: Where are their parents?
Draken: Mikey said both Natsu and Wendy were getting abused by their parents, so they ran away

When the meeting was over, Mikey told Draken. He was going to get Natsu and Wendy. When Mikey found them, they were talking in some other language. When Mikey got close enough, Natsu and Wendy stopped talking and looked at him.

Wendy: Big brother, Papa is here,
Mikey: What?! Papa?!
Wendy: Yeah, I heard you and Dad talking when we were at the restaurant today! You said you wanted to keep us, and Dad said ok! So you're Papa now!
Mikey: You heard us? I thought you were sleeping!?
Natsu: Oh yeah, I heard that, too!
Wendy: You sound angry, are you going to leave us too? *starts to tear up*
Mikey: No, no, I'm not going to leave you. I'll never leave. *Picks up Wendy* Why would you think I would leave you?
Wendy: You'll never leave? I thought people left other people when they're mad.
Mikey: Where did you get that?
Natsu: Our parents used to shout everywhere they went, and if we were with them, they would yell at us, and they would leave us, anywhere.
Mikey: Don't worry, I won't leave. We have to go to your Dad is waiting
