Chapter 28 - Full of Lies

Full of Lies

4 years later...

NUNEW woke up feeling sleepy and tired. He still wants to sleep but he has a lot of things to do. Including, working. Feeling forced to get up. He did his morning routines. This is him. Nothings new.

The door opens and saw the man in his suit. He looks handsome. That's NuNew's first impression of him. "Good Morning sweetie. How's your sleep?"

Pod kiss NuNew on the cheeks. NuNew is used to it. When he woke up from the hospital. He is hopeless. He doesn't know his identity including his name, his family or if he still has. But thankfully, Pod is there with him. He never leaves by his side.

"I sleep like a puppy" Pod hugs NuNew. NuNew didn't know how to react. It's not like it's his first time feeling Pod's arms with him. He doesn't like the feeling of Pod hugging him. He can't even feel affection towards him. He can't explain it.

It's still an enigma to him even though it's been four years since he woke up from an accident. That's what Pod said. He was hit by a truck and lost his memories. He couldn't react that time. He wants to bring back his memories but every time he forces himself, his head is starting to ache so much.

Pod had been a good boyfriend to him. Yeah, that's what he said when he woke up. At first, he didn't believe him until Pod show him the pictures of them together. Even though the picture can prove it. He can't still feel the affection. He tried Pod to ask if he has still a family but Pod didn't mind it. He always has excuses to escape his questions. He knows Pod is hiding something from him. But maybe Pod is not yet ready to tell him since he might force himself to remember it.

"Come here, let's have breakfast" NuNew let Pod drag him to the dining area.

A bacon and fried rice with an omelette welcome NuNew to the dining. He is starving and when he sits. He digs in and never mind Pod. "Chill sweetie. The food is not going to go somewhere"

Pod can't resist NuNew's cuteness "I'm hungry Pod. I need to eat a lot for the work" Since he is bored to the core in this big house, he did force Pod to let him work even from bus own company. Pod at first hesitated but he let him later on.

"You can have your absent sweetie.  You've been working hard. And it's time for you to rest all day. How's that sound?" Pod soft voice. It makes him calm.

"Okay, if that's what you want. But what I'm gonna suppose to do? I'm bored here. I want to do something" NuNew can't stay longer at this big house without any work to do.

"You can go outside and tour yourself since I can't go with you, I'm busy sweetie"
NuNew faces Pod with his face shocked and confused. Pod never want him to go outside alone. He usually always wants him to go with him. But now, why the sudden change?

"Is this okay with you? I'm going alone" NuNew knows how Pod's life is dangerous. He knows Pod is a dangerous man either but he doesn't believe it. Maybe Pod has a bad side but Pod shows him his sweet side.

He also meets Pod's friend named Tin. He is handsome and a player. Last Saturday he saw him with a lady. And this Saturday he saw again but not the same lady he saw but another one. Now, he confirms it, Tin is a womaniser. Pod already warned him not to get near him and even though Pod didn't warn him, he will distance himself.

"Sweetie. I have trust in you. I'll let the bodyguard come with you. For extra security" Pod is protective. That's him. Pod always wants to secure him. He notices sometimes that Pod seems like hiding from someone. He can't just clarify it.

"Thank you. Shouldn't you be late for your work?"
Pod is a businessman, a CEO to be exact. He can't believe that Pod, at a young age, manages to build his own company.
