The Haunted Manor

(3rd person)

The wind howled through the ancient trees as Sam and Colby parked their car outside the Blackwood Manor in Virginia (not a real place.. just FYI lol).

The old, rundown building stood ominously in the dark. They exchanged eager looks, their eyes filled with anticipation for what lay ahead.

"Are you ready for this, Colby?" Sam asked, his voice filled with anticipation.

Colby nodded, a mischievous grin spreading across his face. "Absolutely, Sam. This place is rumored to be one of the most haunted in the region. Our fans are going to love it. I heard there has been many poltergeist's here I hope we catch something good."

"Me too, also Lily said she's at the front door already let's go find her" Sam added.

As they approached the entrance, their footsteps echoing on the creaky wooden porch, a figure emerged from the shadows. It was Lily, a close friend from high school with an insatiable curiosity for the supernatural. Her eyes sparkled with excitement.

"Hey, guys! I can't believe we're finally exploring this place together," Lily exclaimed, her voice tinged with both enthusiasm and a touch of nervousness.

Sam chuckled. "Well, Lily, you're in for a treat. The legends surrounding this manor are spine-chilling."

The trio stepped into the dimly lit foyer, their flashlights cutting through the darkness.

As they entered a grand ballroom, their flashlights illuminated the faded elegance of the space. Colby gasped, his eyes fixed on an ornate chandelier that swayed gently, despite the absence of wind. It was a chilling sight that sent a shiver down their spines.

"Ok I think we should film the intro here," Sam said while setting up the camera.

"Hey, what's up, it's Sam and Colby!" Sam said excitedly. "And today we have a very special guest joining us today.."

"Hey guys I'm Lily Martinez,"

"Today, we have something really special for you all. We're taking you on a journey into the depths of darkness, to a place steeped in history and haunted by restless spirits!" Colby added.

"Blackwood Manor, located in the heart of Virginia, has captivated the imaginations of locals for generations," Sam informed. "Built in the late 19th century, Blackwood Manor was once a symbol of wealth and extravagance. But it was the haunting disappearance of Amelia Blackwood, the eldest daughter of the family, that forever sealed its tragic fate."

"Legend has it that Amelia vanished on the night of her wedding, leaving behind unanswered questions and a trail of ghostly apparitions. So basically we are going to try to solve this unsolved mystery on what happened to Amelia. The Blackwood Manor has not been open to the public for more than 5 years and it just opened back up last week."

Suddenly as soon as they finished the intro, a whisper, barely audible, filled the air. The three exchanged startled glances, their instincts telling them they were not alone. Goosebumps prickled on their skin.

Colby presses record as they walk into the library. Dusty shelves lined with ancient books surrounded them.

As Sam picked up an old diary, a soft gust of wind blew through the room, he starts flipping the pages to an entry dated over a century ago, Colby and Lily looking over his shoulder.

He discovers that it is an old journal belonging to a former resident of Blackwood Manor, James Blackwood the middle child. The journal entries provide a glimpse into the lives of the Blackwood family and the events leading up to Amelia's sudden disappearance.
