Life is a bliss here, unlike back in my old world. No more constant wars, but peace. Of course, I'm not saying this for the rest of the continent since I have not personally explored it myself.

We live in a humble, small house in Ashber town. I suppose that's where the inspiration of my name came from-Asher. I am 2 years old as of right now.

I have been noticing my mother's belly getting bigger. I initially thought that she had just gained weight, but it's a low possibility since we had a balanced diet. Because of this, my father would bring me around Asber town after training instead of mother.

"You like swords buddy? Maybe I can start teaching him.. no no, your mother would flame me.." Said my father, noticing how I've been observing the weapons, specifically swords that the adventures are carrying around.

Fumu, Back in my old world, I was an expert at wielding the sword, so much so that I was able to beat a sword that wielded a sword. Something that knows itself better than anyone.

Weeks passed, and I've came to the conclusion that my mom is pregnant. I wasn't quite sure before since i can't see through people now that I'm in this body, but I'm sure of it now.

Finally, the awaited day had come a few weeks later, as my mother gave birth to another baby—my now little brother.

"He's adorable isn't he?" Exclaimed my father. I have to admit, he's got even chubbier cheeks than mine. In the end, my father and mother decided to give him the name Arthur, Arthur Leywin.

Something's strange about Arthur though.. it's the fact that he's not crying, but healthy nonetheless. What stood out the most, were his eyes.. his eyes looked odd, odd for a baby to have. It's not it's appearance, but what lies in the abyss of that beautiful blue eyes. It's as if he's had experience..

Well, whatever. This baby would be my little brother from now on, so I'll love him no matter what. "Arthur." I called out to him with a smile. He turned his blue azure eyes towards me again, as if assessing me.

2 Years had passed since the birth of my little brother. His presence had made the house even merrier than it was before. My mother was done recovering from giving birth, and my father has been training harder than ever.

My body had developed a little further, now being able to walk properly. I can also form proper 5 year old type sentences normally, without having to use reading books as excuse.

Anyways, I've been training at night after everyone's asleep, trying to learn more about magic since my body has now developed further. I had awakened as an augmenter, a type of mage that attacks in limited ranges.

The book states that an augmenters weakness is the fact that they're limited by their close range, unlike conjurers, the opposite.

To know which type you're best at, would be determined in your talent as a mage. A mage that's born with a dominant mana channel would be an augmenter, while ones with dominant mana veins become conjurers.

While picking one of the two type would be beneficial if you're just starting out as a mage, the difference between the both would become less apparent as you ascend to lighter cores, since your mana veins and mana channels would grow with you.

"Simple." After roughly a minute of trying to augment myself, i was able to cover a portion of my arm with mana. The better my mana channel is, the more and faster I can control my mana.

Forming my hand into a shape of that of a blade, I shaped the mana around my hand to imitate one. I then slashed at the rock beside me, cracking the surface a little, but not strong enough to cut it in half.

"Fumu, this will do for now." I wasn't able to conjure up a spell at the moment, since it'd be hard since my mana veins were in a not as great as a conjurer. Even if I did, the spell would be as small as an apple, and would dissipate in seconds.

Months passed since then. I've been noticing my brother fiddling through the books about this world, like I did. There's a high possiblity of him being in the same case as me, but I won't question it yet.

"Are you ready?" Right now, I'm sparring with my father who had been waiting for me to grow up a little. He had bought me a wooden sword when we strolled around town together.

"Fumu, As always." I replied, before dashing forward to deliver an attack. I had augmented my wooden sword with a minimal amount of mana, but I'm sure my father felt it, based on his reaction.

"Hm? Ho-" Before he could ask, I delivered a blow, throwing him back a little.

"No way.. how?" My father had no way to reply but looked at me in awe. Honestly, I had no idea how my father hadn't sensed my mana core after all this time.

"I knew you awakened.. it's just so absurd that I thought I was hallucinating.. dear!" My father said in excitement, calling out to my mother. Everyone was excited, my father even calling me a prodigy. He started training me more properly after.

A few months passed, and Arthur awakened this time at the age of 2. Fumu, seems like my suspicions were correct. There's no way one could awaken so fast without instilled knowledge over magic.

“Oh dear god.. what do we deserve these blessings for!?” Exclaimed my mother, clearly dumbfounded by my brother also awakening.

Fumu, I look forward to his progress.

Sorry if this chapter was a bit bland. I do have to say that I don't have much of an idea as to what'll happen once the bandits attack. Anos should be able to easily save them all, being a genius strategist.. but doing that will stop the meeting between Arthur and Sylvia.

I will think of a way to change this of course. If you can, please leave some suggestions as always, I'll consider any one of your suggestions!

Thank you for reading as always.
