The cold evening breeze is touching my cheeks as I watch the stars sparkle in the skies. I was stunned at the thoughts running through my mind without a single blink. Leaning on the table, I can feel myself dazzled by my memories of him later this afternoon. It feels surreal, it gave me butterflies, and I was over the moon clinging to his assuring words and soothing voice.
"S-A-R-A-D-A!"
A gentle tap and an infuriated voice wake me from my dizzying thought of a fairy tale.
"Chocho?!" I'm surprised at her face so close to me as if we are about to kiss when I face her.
"Are you okay? Did something happen to you?" she checks my temperature she thinks I feel sick.
"Oh, I'm, I'm alright!" I stutter and give her an awkward laugh.
"I know that expression. Something happened today," she looks suspiciously at me. I can read what's in her head right now.
"Will you spill the beans or you will go to bed naked?" is she threatening me or something?
"What makes you say that?!" I panic. It's my first time hearing her say something like that it's creeping me out!
"I know there's something good that happened earlier. I saw you smiling and blushing a while ago. Your thoughts wander around the heavens and seems like you don't want to go back in time just yet," she crosses her arms in front of me with her still suspicious eyes.
I didn't give her any reaction I just don't know what to say to her. There's excitement and uneasiness inside my chest. I wanted to tell her right now but I can't find the exact words to say or where should I start telling her what happened at the gym this afternoon after the tournament.
"What?!" she exclaims and pouts her lips. I can sense her impatience and irritation.
"Don't freak out okay?" I let out a deep sigh and her suspicious look turns into a curious one.
"I regret leaving you after the tournament. I missed something very important," she is almost crying. I can tell she's eager and nosy at the same time.
"Okay, I'll tell you what happened now," I say while my hands are slightly shaking.
[Flashback]
I am in awe after he finally created a small gap between our lips. My heart never stops stomping I can't even think straight anymore. His cold but warm eyes now are looking at mine. There are no traces of sham but only sincerity. I have never seen those eyes ever since I met him.
It's an uncanny feeling. His hands are still on my face and I can tell he is gently caressing both my cheeks. Ah, I hate this pounding sound my heart creates. It's driving me insane.
A long silence prevails over us nobody wants to break out of such a fantasy feeling right now. I only come back to my senses when he slowly removes his hands from my cheeks and I started to feel like I'm being dragged back to reality.
"What's that supposed to mean?" I almost whispered and then look down and that glorious feeling I felt just now was slowly fading away.
"Did you only do it just to shut me up?" I add but he is not responding to any of my questions.
"Say something, you jerk!" I think I'm about to cry again. Is he just messing around? What about my feelings? Did I confess something to him? I looked like a desperate witch there. I was so stupid.
"Don't cry anymore, please," he mutters which makes me dumbfounded. Did he really tell me not to cry again or I am just hallucinating?
"I did not do it to fool around. It saddens me to see you cry it's true, so don't cry," he sounds like pleading with me. "What strikes dumb me more is that you feel something about me and I do to you too that none of us could have imagined," I can't fathom the situation anymore it feels like it in the movies Chocho and I used to watch together the difference is I'm the lead of this movie.
