SEVEN

[A week later]

The boys all decided to have another hang out sesh around town, without an actual plan or destination, just letting themselves figure it out.

Jay and Sunghoon were of course attached to the hip, getting a suspicious look from Heeseung but nothing was said as it was normal for Sunghoon to be on Jay most of the time, in fact it would be more weird if Sunghoon didn't cling onto jay for dear life.

Jungwon and Niki ran ahead, wanting to go the new clothing shop that opened not long ago. Jake following close behind as he wants to get Heeseung a new shirt or hoodie that he can steal in a week or so.

Heeseung chuckled at the three before look over at Sunoo who's already looking at him.

"You think they're together yet?" Sunoo whispered, his eyes on Jay who's arm is being swung back and forth playfully by Sunghoon as they held hands. 

Heeseung nods. "I hope so. Jay's been in love with him for years."

"You promise you won't be long?" Sunghoon almost whines as Jay tries to head off to another part of the store.

"I won't be long baby. It's Jake's birthday and I can't have you there when I get his present."

"Why?"

"Cause you'll tell him!" Jay laughs. "I know you don't mean to baby but we both know you can't keep your mouth shut for long."

Jay winks at Sunghoon before turning around to go look for Jake's present.

Sunghoon huffs as his legs take him anywhere and everywhere around the store. The place was massive as it was two shops under the same brand into one massive unit. Clothes to trinkets to anything really was all in here.

Now Sunghoon loved it don't get him wrong, but he likes having Jay around to help him out with things like this. Jay is an expert on fashion and he helps Sunghoon out a ton.

"Maybe I can use this to impress him and show him a cool outfit. Maybe I can even get him something he likes too!" Sunghoon mumbled to himself as he waddles around with his new found motivation.

After a while of going through different shirts and jewellery he finally got not only Jake's birthday present but something for Jay too!

He saw a glimpse of Jay as he walked past a isle from him, immediately following his footsteps to try and track him down. Hopefully Jay likes what he got for him, he couldn't wait to show him the new stuff he got-

Sunghoon stops as he sees someone with Jay.

For a moment, Sunghoon felt as if the world stopped and his heart stopped beating. A slight ringing filled his ears as he saw the sight in front of him.

Why was someone holding Jay like that? That was Sunghoon's job? But most importantly...

Why did he looked scared?

It all clicks for Sunghoon as he finally realised who the person was. Jays ex boyfriend.

"Get your hands off my boyfriend now."

Jay's ex laughs mockingly. As if he was challenging Sunghoon.

"Awh look at you, built like a buff twink that can't even care for his boyfriend! I'm not surprised really. After all Jay always went for people he couldn't handle."

Sunghoon's jaw clenched as he walked closer to Jay, pulling him behind him. His gaze darkened as he saw the condescending smile Jays ex boyfriend had on his face.

"Maybe that's why Jay left you cause you wouldn't stop hitting into him you useless mutt."

"Sunghoon please." Jay pleads as he feels himself growing more anxious, not knowing how this could end up.

Jays ex laughs in Sunghoon's face. "Yeah Sunghoon. The little baby can take care of himself."

Sunghoon's hands turned into a closed fist as he stepped forward to throw a hit at him, but before he could-

"Leave before you end up getting jumped you stupid cunt."

Jake's voice boomed through the isle, alerting the three along with the rest of the group who weren't that far behind Jake.

"Who are you?" Jays ex hissed at Jake who only chuckled at him.

"None of your business. Leave now or your getting jumped."

Jays ex stumbles backwards as he finally processed what's gonna happen to him."I-i wasn't-

"Did I fucking stutter? I said leave you brain dead cunt!!!"

Jake's harsh words sent Jays ex running away with his tail between his legs, immediately making his way over to Jay and Sunghoon.

"You guys okay?? He didn't hurt you right?" Jake blabbered as the others make their way to them as well.

"I'm fine. I just got scared. Don't worry."

Jays dry response didn't settle well with Sunghoon and Jake who both looked at each other for a moment.

Sunghoon made his way and got both his and Jays bags packed, paying for all their stuff he leaves quickly to his car that wasn't that far away from the shop.

His head raced with thought after thought. He always knew about Jay having a terrible ex but he never knew the extent only from him showing up at his doorstep with a black eye and a bag.

As he puts away the last bag in the boot he's met with Jake, Heeseung and Jay.

"Where are the others?"

"Sunoo's got em." Heeseung sighs. "Those three were having a sleepover or something. I saw Niki get mint chocolate, the specific one Sunoo liked."

Sunghoon laughs slightly. "So we all agree that Niki and Sunoo are??"

"It's Jungwon and Niki actually."

They all whip their heads back at Jay. "Huh?"

Jay blinks. "You guys haven't seen Niki play fight with Jungwon but was actually just trying to find a reason to hold him without being caught??"

Jay lets out a laugh at the three in front of him. Hearing him laugh relaxed Sunghoon more than he expected. Pulling him close he nuzzled up on Jay.

"You gotta tell me this stuff otherwise I won't know!"

"Hoon you can't keep your mouth shut."

"Shut up Jake don't act like you don't do the same."

After a moment or so the group part ways. Jay heading to the drivers side where he's met with a slap on the hand. Looking at Sunghoon confused he's met with a smile and quick kiss on his lips.

"I'll drive you home tonight my love!"

Jays cheeks flush pink as he makes his way over to the passenger side, putting his seatbelt on and getting comfy. Sunghoon doing the same and soon starts the engine, driving away to their home.

Sunghoon wants to know what happened with Jays ex, but he knows that it's best to leave it up to Jay to tell him. Even if that meant he would find out in a week or a couple of years, he'd wait for Jay to be ready, just like he was with him.

He looks over to the side where Jay is asleep in the passenger seat. Gently pulling his hand to his side he kisses it softly, rubbing his knuckles as he keeps his hand on his for the rest of the drive back home.

Sunghoon loved Jay, truely.
