Chapter 9: The End of the End

Carnish's Super Saiyan 2 form blazed with an unparalleled intensity as he unleashed a relentless assault upon Veros. Blow after blow rained down upon the malevolent villain, each strike carrying the weight of Carnish's grief, anger, and determination.

Veros, his face twisted with pain and shock, found himself overwhelmed by Carnish's newfound power. He struggled to defend himself, desperately trying to match the ferocity and speed of Carnish's attacks. But it was futile. Carnish's power surged beyond anything Veros had anticipated.

With a final, devastating blow, Carnish landed a direct hit on Veros, sending him hurtling through the air. Veros crashed into the ground, his body battered and broken. Carnish stood over him, his chest heaving with exertion, his gaze filled with a mixture of triumph and rage.

"Your reign of terror ends here, Veros," Carnish declared, his voice laced with the weight of vengeance. "You will pay for the lives you've taken."

Veros coughed, blood trickling from his mouth, but a twisted smile crept across his face. "You think you've won, Saiyan? You're a fool. My son... His name is Zethos. He possesses a power far greater than mine. Stronger than you can imagine. He will come for you, and you will know true despair."

Carnish's eyes narrowed, his expression hardening. He refused to show any sign of fear or doubt. "Zethos, you say? If he follows in your footsteps, then he, too, will meet his end. I will stop him, just as I have stopped you. I will not let your legacy of darkness continue."

Veros chuckled weakly, his body trembling with pain. "You... you underestimate him. You don't understand the depths of his power. Zethos will be the one to end you."

Carnish's fists clenched, his determination unwavering. "We shall see, Veros. If Zethos chooses to walk the path of destruction, then I will not hesitate to eliminate him. But I will also offer him a chance to choose a different path, to break free from the cycle of violence. The choice will be his, and his alone."

With those words, Carnish raised his hand, channeling his energy once more. He aimed a final blast at Veros, intending to end his life once and for all. The blast engulfed Veros, and a moment of eerie silence settled over the battlefield.

As the smoke cleared, Carnish stood there, his chest rising and falling with a mix of exhaustion and determination. Veros lay motionless on the ground, defeated at last. Carnish's gaze shifted towards the horizon, knowing that the battle was not truly over. The path ahead was still filled with challenges and uncertainty, but he would face them head-on.

For now, Carnish would mourn the losses suffered, both his own and those caused by Veros. But he would not let the darkness consume him. He would stay true to his purpose, to protect the innocent and bring justice to the universe.
