" Mam, the project with the Kims is handed back to you as... Mr. Min has been fired..."
Your movements came to a halt, hearing the unanticipated from your assistant's mouth. You jerked your neck to face her, raising a brow, not coming to terms with the astounding information.
Mina noticed your muddled lineament and confirmed, " Yes mam, it's true. I even heard that Mr. Kim is the one who asked Mr. Lim to do so because he was disappointed with his work and unprofessional behaviour."
A frown cladded your forehead hearing the familiar yet unpleasant name. You weren't convinced by the aforesaid reasons.
'Did he do all this because I saved Jeongyu?' You couldn't help but wonder.

You don't appreciate such unprofessional and impersonal behaviour.
You felt disappointed.
" And mam, you have to meet him at 11 a.m. today for the project discussion and execution planning," You, unwillingly, gave a subtle nod, affirming your confirmation.

A slight knock deferred the work I was immersed in. " Sir, Miss Lee is here," I gave a curt nod and rose from my chair to head to the conference room.
Stepping inside the chamber, I saw Yn seated on the couch. Her crisp and snazzy formal outfit was highlighting her professional stance.
Why have I never paid attention to it before?
Sensing my presence, her charcoal eyes met mine but she was quick to avert them. Exchanging the modest greetings, we both settled down.
The air surrounding us thickened with each passing second.
" So… the projec—" I tried initiating the discussion but she cut me off abruptly, "Why did make Mr. Min redundant?" her tone was sharp but her unforeseen query got me a little furious.
" Because he didn't deserve the position he was enjoying till now!..." I huffed out, truthfully replying to her question but the look on her face screamed that she didn't believe my sincere words.
