Chapter 1: Mari's Big Day!

Narrator:
The sun was shining out Mari's bedroom window. The birds were chirping. It looked beautiful outside today. Mari woke up with the heat of it and realized today was the big day. She was to be told if she was going to be part of Smosh Games and how could she forget that she's turning 22! She quickly leaped out of bed,ran to the kitchen, in her one bedroom apartment, and made herself some bacon and eggs, her favorite! Later on in the day she was to have a birthday party with all of her closest friends. Nothing could break her happy mood! After breakfast she got a call...it was from Smosh HQ. The moment she was waiting for has finally arrived! She would either be devastated or eternally happy that her dream came true!

Mari:
"Should I answer it?" I thought.
"I could be happy that my dream came true or destroyed that I got rejected."
I thought for a minute.
"Ugh...fuck it. I'm answering!"
A voice asked, "Hello, is this Mari from the interview yesterday?"
"Yes this is her..."
"I'm here to tell you...congrats on getting the new job! You will begin tomorrow!"
"OMG OMG OMG THANK YOU SOOO MUCH AHHHH!!!" *She hung up*
I began to do a victory dance and got a little out of control, breaking one of my flower pots near the dining table. I still couldn't believe it! I got the job!

Narrator:
As Mari was baking her birthday cake which was chocolate flavored, her phone rang. It was a text from her mom who wished her a happy birthday! Mari grinned. Sadly she couldn't be there since she was a lawyer in Japan and had to tend to important business. When the cake was done she decorated it with strawberries and whipped cream. It looked mouth watering.With nothing else to do Mari called her bestie, Kalel, if she wanted to hang out at the mall. She was to busy with work, as so Mari thought.

Kalel:
"Ok guys we need to make Maris surprise birthday party so good, it will knock her pants down!"
I planned the whole thing! We were at the bowling ally near her apartment because she loves to go bowling. The manager allowed me and the others to have a big birthday bash just for Mari! I was so pumped! All of her friends were there and helping, her soon to be co-workers were there because Anthony was my boyfriend and a friend of Maris yet she didn't know the other 4 other dudes. The one person I didn't want there was her ex....Peter. He was hiding in the corner like a little bitch. I knew his story but Mari told me not to tell a soul. Anyway I have to go back to work!
"HEY DONT YOU DARE TOUCH ANY OF THAT FOOD!"

Mari:
"Ugh I'm so bored" I said as I was watching TV.
"Sometimes I wish I had someone like Peter before 'it' happened. I want someone loving, caring, protective, and most of all loves me with his whole heart..."
I began to tear up a little bit.
"I want that 'guy' in my life."
