Chapter 17: Wedding

David:

I turned on the radio to forget about what happened. Some of our favorite songs played and we sang along until a breaking news report was announced.

"BREAKING NEWS. Today at 5:36 there was two murders at the local hospital near downtown. A surgeon doctor and a nurse were reported dead. The killer was not found and we advise to not go near that building or downtown. Stay at home and keep your loved ones safe. Your regular scheduled program will resume now."

A song continued to play.

"Well that got on the news really fast." Mari said amazed. "By the way we're are we going?"

I honestly really didn't know.

"Ummm, your house. You know, to get your stuff. I don't want you getting hurt by the mysterious killer." I said all that not thinking about it.

"Yeah, it's probably for the best. After all, my house is closer to the crime scene."

We got to Maris apartment, and we packed her stuff and moved out in that day.

We picked up McDonalds for dinner and went to my apartment.

We ate and then watched TV while we cuddled.

"Three more months!" I said.

"I can't wait!" She was super excited for our wedding, as was I.

We kissed and it became super late. I yawed and she did as well.

"You take my bed, I'll sleep on the couch." I said respecting her before marriage.

"We slept in the same bed together before, I think it's okay." She responded.

"Alright then." I said with a smile then headed off to bed holding her hand.

"Who says we have to go to bed now?" She said.

I looked at her. She gave a little look.

"I know exactly what you mean." I kissed her and we did it.

*3 months later*

Mari:

Finally a week before Davids and my marriage. I was so excited and couldn't wait any longer. I was trying out wedding dresses with Kalel and it took forever to finally decide on one.

"This one is perfect! What do you think?" I asked.

"Words can't describe it! I love it!" Kalel responded.

I bought it and passed by one of many police officers in the store and streets before arriving home.

It's been really crazy the past few months. The murder kept on doing what he does best. He attacked more buildings: schools, restaurants, post offices, businesses, and more. He killed 1 person in every building he attacked: the boss or the highest ranking guy, which made it a huge deal. It got so serious that police officers were all around the streets and buildings and asked to tell them your name and were you work and live. The police have done some progress in stoping the mystery. They found out that it was not 'him' it was 'they'. And they shot a guy on the lower half of his body but he's still alive. There was a pattern when he attacked: every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

My wedding was on a Thursday.

Kalel dropped me off and I went inside and was David playing a video game.

I kissed him and said hey.

He paused the game to see the dress I picked out, but I quickly took it to my closet.
