—  𝐈 𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐎𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐌𝐘 𝐁𝐀𝐓𝐇𝐑𝐎𝐎𝐌 fixing my vampire costume as i just looked in the mirror applying a tiny amount of fake blood when I started to hear my now roommate, Tara start to yell 

"Y/N IF YOU TAKE ONE MORE MINUTE THE PARTY IS GONNA BE OVER!" She yelled As I walked out and met her in the living room "you just had to go sexy?" 

"It's Halloween girl code. Go sexy" I defended myself grabbing my keys and pepper spray and walked out as Tara followed me closing the door. We made it out of the apartment complex with all limbs as I looked around seeing all the costumes that passed us as we walked to the party. We ended up running into some kid I've never met t who went to our film studies "oh hey..y/n right?" He asked in a more awkward tone but I quickly shrugged it off and nodded as a response before I grabbed Tara's hand a dragged her away "I didn't like his vibe." I said to her confused look she gave me "y/n..you havnt trusted any guy after Wes died." She said as I just froze and tried to process what she said as I  just continued walking trying to not think about it too much. 

We made it to the party as I got engulfed by the smell of alcohol and the sound of laughing kids who happened to be around my age..

"Oh! Y/n!" Mindy yelled as she called me over with a hand gesture. Me and Tara parted ways for the first time of the party.

I sat next to Mindy for about 30 minutes before Anika joined us both. Mindy and her did their own thing and I just sat to the side as they would sometimes bring me into the conversation but normally it was her bringing up Wes and her apologizing about that full situation..

"Would you say you have moved on?" Anika asked me as Mindy put her arm around her shoulder 

"Uhm- a part of me..well majority of me has and that other half I think will never be able to. But if I know one thing- I can't make myself a victim forever." I said with a simple nod taking a breath before I continued to talk "I'm going to go get me a water-" I said as Mindy looked at me completely confused "there's water?"

"There's no water-" Anika said calmly as I stood up "that's my point!" I said walking off as Anika just shook her head and went back to her conversation with Mindy.

I walked over to the drinks when I saw Tara with some random guy who seemed- well. off. I walked over to the two and hugged Tara from behind as she turned around to see me and quickly hugged me "hey y/n! Have you met franki-" she started before I  quickly cut her off "no and I have absolutely no interest in doing so- uhm..Tara-" I said taking a quick breath before thinking of how to say it to her without her getting upset at me "Tara..he seems off and-" I started to whisper as she took my hands in hers "y/n..no reason to worry." She said handing me a drink she literally just poured into a cup and shooed me off.

I started walking back to Mindy when Chad literally ran over to me as if his life depended on it 

"Y/n. I need you to meet my friend- it's not a request..it's a requirement-" he said as I just rolled my eyes and took a sip of the drink Tara had given me "hmm..alright" I said with a shrug as he lead the way
