Oh my God! I cannot believe that just happened. Not only am I not going to have coffee but now I basically told Hunter that I slept with him, while melting into a puddle of desire in his arms as I waited for him to kiss me in the hall-which he did not do! God, I'm a mess. I just need to get out of here. I also should try the 'forget Hunter' operation Elyse offered me. I'm just going to have to find a guy tonight when we go clubbing. God I'm pathetic!

The rest of the workday went painfully slow because of my lack of caffeine and Hunter being on the forefront of my mind. I was grateful that Elyse was taking me out tonight. I really need to let go. When I got back to my apartment, I searched through my closet and pulled out the sexiest clubbing dress I have. It is a skintight backless number that ends a couple of inches beneath the swell of my butt. It definitely makes me look good. I lay it on the bed next to the lacey thong and my necklace that will dangle enticingly near my cleavage. I pull out my strappy three-inch fuck-me heels and then jump into the shower to continue getting ready.

The hot shower relaxes some of the tense muscles that have been irritating me since my encounter with Hunter. I'm ready to go party, well almost ready. I tie my blonde hair up into a loose knot and leave a few strands of hair down. I curl them and apply my make-up much more heavily than normal. I look and feel sexy. I pull on my clothes and pick up my clutch purse and head for the door.

Elyse is already standing outside of the cab and looking hot herself. Her dark brown hair is cascading down her back and her skinny jeans and revealing top accentuate her body perfectly. With the way she's looking tonight, I know she's going to be on the prowl as soon as we walk in the club. We hop into the cab and head to the club. I'm feeling lucky tonight.

The bass is thumping and there are dozens of people bumping and grinding on the dance floor. El and I approached the bar to order some drinks, but two guys cut in front of us.

"Hey sweet things," one of the guys says with a wink. "What are you two getting because we are paying." They are trying way to hard and it is definitely a turn-off. These guys think that if they throw around their money, girls are going to want them. The girls that do take them up on their offer will only want the free beer, not the company.

"No thanks." I say as I walk past them and then order my beer. They did nothing for me. The guys were cute, but not Hunter hot. I release a loud sigh at my train of thought. I can't even escape Hunter at a club. I downed the rest of my beer and dragged Elyse to the dance floor. I was ready to dance.

El and I danced together for two songs but then another guy approached us. "Hey, I'm Juan," he shouted so we could hear him above music. "I was wondering if you wanted to dance." I assumed he was referring to Elyse so I started to leave, but El tugged on my arm to force me to stay.

"Sorry I need to go to the ladies room to freshen up, but my friend Kaylee here," Elyse said as she pulled me in front of the guy, "would love to." she announced and scrambled away. I was going to kill her when we left the club. I don't want to dance with someone who wanted my best friend first! Argh!

"I actually wanted to dance with you," Juan announced as a slower song blasted through the club's speakers. "And this is perfect timing." He laughed.

"Oh," I whispered as he pulled me against him and swayed to the music. Juan was surprisingly a good dancer, and when we took a break for a beer after a couple of songs, I found out he was a great conversationalist too. We talked and laughed some more before heading back out onto the dance floor. I had no clue where Elyse had gone and I didn't care. My earlier anger was gone and I was thankful that she left because Juan and I were truly hitting it off. Hunter who? I laughed to myself. Maybe I was finally moving on.

A few braver guys asked to cut in and shockingly, Juan stepped back and let me dance with them. I rubbed up against the men trying to evoke a reaction from Juan, but he didn't seem to care. I would have thought that he was gay, but I caught the flash of desire in his eyes. Normally I wouldn't stoop to such immature games, but after my experience with Hunter, I felt like I needed to test Juan. He passed with flying colors.

I found my way back to him a while later and swayed to the beat as I stood on my tiptoes to reach his ear. "Sorry about that Juan. I didn't mean to be gone for so long," I apologized.

"It's really no problem Kaylee. You are a single girl and should enjoy it." Juan said with a grin. His response made him look even more perfect to me. Juan tucked a wayward curl behind my ear and leaned towards me to whisper, "I'm just glad that you came back to dance with me beautiful."

I blushed and hid my face in his chest at his comment. Juan was exceeding all of my expectations and I was surprised to be contemplating asking for his number. Juan was the first guy I have been able to think about romantically since Hunter. As we continued to dance, I mulled over my love life.
