WORD OF THE INCIDENT SPREAD QUICKLY. Wherever the three went, people would stare at Percy. And everytime they did, Esme would glare at them and shut them up.

The two had become almost friends. Annabeth and Esmeray had shown him a few other places; The metal shop where kids were making their own swords, the arts and crafts room where a group of saytrs were sandblasting a statue of a giant goat man,  and the climbing wall, which Esme had finished twice.

They returned to the trail that lead to the cabins.

"I've got training." Annabeth said flatly. She was still pissed because of the toilet incident. "Dinners at seven thirty. Follow your cabin to the mess hall."

"Annabeth, I'm sorry about the toilets." Percy apologized.

"Whatever."

"It wasn't my fault."

Annabeth and Esme looked at him sceptically. And Percy realized it was his fault.

"You need to talk to the Oracle." Annabeth decided.

"Who?"

"Not who, what. I'll ask Chiron."

Percy stared into the lake, and two girls waved at him. Unsure what to do, he waved back.

"Ugh, don't encourage them. Naiads are horrible flirts." Annabeth warned.

"Naiads. That's it. I want to go home." Percy said.

Annabeth looked at him.

"Don't you get it, Percy? You are home. This is the only safe place on earth for kids like us."

"You mean mentally disturbed kids?"

"I mean not human. Well, not totally human anyway. Half-human."

"Half-human and half what?” Percy asked.

"I think you know." Esmeray said from where she stood.

"God. Half-god."

Annabeth nodded. "Your fathers not dead, Percy. He's one of the Olympians."

"That's...crazy" Percy said.

"Is it?" Esme spoke up. "What's the most common things gods did in the old stories? They ran around falling in love with humans and having kids with them. Do you really think they changed their habits in the last few millennia?"

"But those are just" he almost said myth, but then remembered that in a few thousand years he might be considered a myth. "But if all the kids here are half-gods-"

"Demi-gods." Annabeth corrected. "That's the official term. Or Half-bloods."

"Who's your dad then?"

Annabeth's hands tightened on the railing.

"He's a professor at West point. I haven't seen him since I was very small. He teaches American History." Annabeth said. Esme squeezed her shoulder from where she somehow appeared.

"He's human."

"No, he's a unicorn, no shit sherlock." Esme said sarcastically.

"What, you just assume its the male gods who fall in love? How sexist is that?" Annabeth scoffed.

"Who's your mom then?"

"Cabin six." Annabeth said like he was supposed to know what it means.

"Athena, goddess of war and wisdom." Esme translated.

"And yours?" Percy looked at her.

"Melinoe, goddess of nightmares and madness. She doesn't have a cabin, though, so I stay with the Hermes kids." Esme said proudly.
