I set the bowl on the table next to the bed before I attempted to stand up. My legs were weak and I had trouble standing up.

"I guess that's what lack of food and water does to a person." I grumbled. I took a few short and wobbly steps before regaining my balance and walked to the door. Slowly making my way out of the room, I climbed the stairs leading to the deck.

"Hey, she's alive!" I heard someone shout as I stepped onto the deck, shielding my eyes from the sun. I groaned as a bunch of men cheered and laughed.

"We all thought you were going to die, not gonna lie." A voice said to my left. A familiar looking tall man with long blue hair was standing there, leaning against the wall.

"I won't be able to die that easily. I'm a lot stronger than you think." I stated, smirking. The man laughed before extending his hand out to me.

"It's good to see you again after so many years, Akito." He said. I grinned widely before shaking his hand.

"Good to see you again, too, Heat. I'm sure I don't have to introduce myself to the rest of the crew, since they all know who I am." I said and the men laughed.

"Yeah, everyone here knows about you, Akito. Captain would always talk about how badass you were when you were younger." Another voice commented. I rolled my eyes.

"Me, badass? Hardly. All I did was stop Kid from doing stupid shit all the time." I stated, and the men laughed again. This time, my laughter joined theirs.

"I recall that you were also doing stupid shit too, Akito." The masked man said, walking up to me from in the crowd.

"Not to sound too rude, but who are you?" I asked him. He chuckled quietly.

"You don't remember me, Kito?" The man asked, using my childhood nickname. I blinked, surprised that someone knew it.

"Wait... Killer...?" I asked, and he nodded. I smiled widely before hugging him.

"Yeah, I've missed you too, Kito. It's so good to see you again, after all these years." He said lightly, hugging me back.

"You've gotten so tall, no fair." I pouted as I pulled away. The crew laughed at that and I flipped them off, making them laugh louder.

"Keep laughing at me and I'll knock you all on your asses!" I shouted, the grip on my Supreme King haki loosened and waves washed over the crew, silencing them.

"Shit, she's kinda scary when she's mad..." one of the men muttered. I inhaled a deep breath before regaining control of my haki.

"Wow, Akito, that sure is some powerful haki you have there." Kid's voice rang out. My eyes instantly found his amber ones and I smirked, tilting my head to the side slightly.

"Yeah? I think it's stronger than yours, Kid." I said. He chuckled at that and made his way to my side. I noticed that he had my bag in his hand and tried to grab it from him.

"Before I give you back your stuff, will you mind telling me why you have a Devil Fruit in here?" He asked, narrowing his eyes. I closed mine for a moment and sighed.

"One last 'fuck you' to the Navy. I planned on eating it as soon as I got away from G1. Good thing I didn't, since the storm knocked me off of my boat and I lost all of my provisions." I said, looking up at him. He handed me my bag.

"It looks like an interesting one, I wonder what it is." He stated. I opened my bag and pulled the little box out. I popped the lid open and grabbed the fruit.

"Well, there's one way to find out." I muttered before taking a bite out of it. I grimaced at the taste and mourned the fact that I wouldn't be able to swim again.

"Well, what fruit was it?" Heat asked, looking at me expectantly. I stretched out my arm and it turned into liquid metal. I chuckled and looked at Kid, my eyes lit up with excitement.

"It's the metal-metal fruit, logia type. Oh, I can do a lot with this." I said, focusing on my new powers. My right arm turned into a wickedly sharp spike, and I laughed. Kid walked up to me and leaned down.

"You know Akito, that devil fruit power of yours matches well with mine." He whispered in my ear. I shivered slightly and looked at him. He had a devilish smirk on his lips.

"Is that right?" I asked him, taking a small step back. He nodded and stepped back a few paces.

"Make some things. Doesn't matter how big they are, just make them." He said, and I nodded.

I made four small, wickedly sharp daggers and looked back at Kid with my left eyebrow cocked. "This good enough?" I asked. He nodded and smiled widely before extending his right arm out. Purple lightning danced along his arm and hand and the daggers moved toward him. They stopped half a foot from his hand.

"Repel." He said and the daggers flew at me, blades pointing forward. I reflexively put up a wall of metal and the blades clanged harmlessly against it. Letting out a breath, I let the metal wall flow back into my body before I glared at Kid.

"So, magnetism. That's interesting, I guess. Very handy for cleaning up scrap metal." I told him, sarcasm lacing my words. He glared at me and I smirked before winking at him and walking away.

I felt a prickling feeling in my mind as my Observation Haki alerted me to something. Whipping my head to the right, I scanned the horizon. "Shit," I whispered to myself before turning back to Kid. He noticed the alarmed look in my eyes.
