They went up to Tari and talked to her for a bit, they found out that Eggdog had no owner. James was thinking of keeping him but was scared that his father would do something to the little egg. "So are you going to keep him?" Luke asked. James sighed "Sadly no, my dad wouldn't let me keep him". "I could take him and you can come to my kingdom to visit him" Luke said. James was happy to hear him say that, he wanted to cry but didn't want to be made fun of.

He thanked Luke. After a bit they passed around drinks and did the toast. It's unknown to this day if it was just cider or actually alcohol they were given for the toast.

By the time the wedding (and after party) was over it was 9pm. The guests started leaving home, the only people left were Tari, Saiko (duh), Meggy, Luke, and James. While they were talking James was drinking cider(alcohol?) because it tasted good. By the end of their conversation, their carriages arrived. Meggy said her goodbyes and left. Luke and James said their goodbyes, however James sounded a bit tipsy.

Luke started to walk James to his carriage with Eggdog following them, but James stopped half way there. "I don't want to go home" he said, still sounding a bit tipsy. "You have to go home" Luke said, trying to get him to move. "Please Luke, I don't think I can deal with my father tonight" James said, refusing to move. "What do you mean?" Luke asked with concern. James stayed quiet for a bit "...i just don't want to go home...i doubt my father would notice if i was gone anyway".

Luke thought for a moment and sighed "I'll take you home with me". James hugged him after hearing this, happy he didn't have to go home and deal with his father. Luke told the coachman of James's carriage that he was going to take care of James and can go without him. The coachman then left, Luke took James into his carriage with Eggdog following them. The ride to the castle was pretty calm. James sat across from Luke with Eggdog in his lap.

"Do you want to tell me what you meant earlier?" Luke asked a bit concerned, looking at James. He didn't respond, he just started to pet Eggdog. "I'm going to take that as a no" Luke told himself. The rest of the ride was quiet. When they got to the castle it was 9:45. Luke helped James get out while he was holding a sleepy Eggdog. They walked into the castle, the guards were confused but didn't say anything.

"You can sleep with me in my room" Luke told James "I don't want you to do something stupid, that would get us both in trouble". James just nodded his head not really paying attention sense he was holding a sleepy Eggdog. After a bit of walking they get to Luke's room and enter. Luke told James he could sit on his bed and wait for him to come back with some extra blankets. As James was waiting on Luke's bed he started to fall asleep.

After a bit Luke came back "Okay so i couldn't find any extra...blankets...?". Luke was surprised to see that James was comfortably asleep. He noticed Eggdog had woken up and was just sitting on his bed behind James, like he was waiting for him. Luke sat at the foot of his bed next to Eggdog and petted him. Luke took off his shoes and laid down in his bed facing the opposite way from James with Eggdog in the middle of them. After a few minutes Luke fell asleep.

Luke woke to Eggdog's whining in the middle of the night. He looked over at Eggdog and realized why he was whining. James was having a panic attack. He was hyperventilating, shaking heavily with tears coming out. Luke didn't know what to do, but he knew he had to do something. James was starting to feel dizzy from hyperventilating, when he felt arms hugging him and a head on his shoulder from behind.

"I don't know what to do in this situation, but I hope this helps calm you down" Luke said with a sincere voice. James flinched at first but quickly eased into the hug. Slowly he started to calm down. After a few minutes James was calm. "He abuses me..." James said, still being hugged by Luke. "W-what..?" Luke asked, being caught off guard. "My father...That's why I didn't want to go home..." James said, answering Lukes question from earlier.
