Chapter 7.5: Meeting with Jasper

August had to go back to the knights to see his siblings who were ready to go back. Alina asked me.

"How did you get to know the prince? It's not every night where I met a guy who knew Prince August on a personal level?"

"Ugh, it's a long story....Wait that's Eloria!"

I run towards her as she notices me. "Whatsup Lyn."

"Oh thank god you did not spend on any bread. We're saving on gold you know."

A fairly taller girl than Eloria looks at me and smiles, "So you are her friend."

"You are?"

The girl giggled, "Oh sorry, my name is Dan-Bi Yu"

Eloria sighed, "She is my childhood friend I met in Metro City. So are you going to introduce us to her?"

"Oh, don't worry about her."

But Alina pushes me, "You bastard, look I'm Alina Hart. I just met with your other friend August. I'm joining you guys so let's get along.". Alina pulls out her hand for a hand shake.

Eloria whispered, "Can anyone just join?"

"Well August did approve it..."

Eloria shook her hand, then in perfect timing August walked in with a bunch of bread and apples.

I shout, "What the hell August?"

He has the biggest grin on his face, "Come on, don't you think I forgot about that little apple tradition you made us do. I think since Alina is joining we should all do this."

I sigh, "Oh alright but what's with the bread?"

"Oh, I just got some cash from the mayor for helping out. I knew Eloria did not have enough here."

Eloria jumps up and down like a child, "Oh thanks so much August!"

Dan-Bi looks at August with suspicion, "Heyyy, aren't you the prince?"

August looked at her, "Yup, well I sent a letter to my parents just now that I will not be home."

I stare at him, "Then what the hell did you do that outburst then?"

"Oh that? It was....you know just a spur of a moment... Well the letter father sent me in Littlekin told me he is trying to suppress things from the Nox Government. I just sent the que- I mean my mother to stop worrying."

Dan-Bi smiled, "Oh well, you have nice friends Eloria. I can trust you to go along with them, now I need to go."

Eloria waved her hand, "Ok, see ya...So, how was your night?"

That question sparked many different discussion topics, Eloria told us that Dan-Bi is from the Yu Clan of Heian. She also told us that the Diavolo is planning something real sinister and how she met one of their tops Luke the One-Man Army. They also met Max, a detective at the N.G who seems to have multiple suspicions from Eloria. Oh right she also met a royal knight named Lucia and Louise.

On the other side I told my story and how I got Alina out of the Underground fight, and I am pretty sure Eloria's eyes started toi sparkle when Alina told us she can make bread... for free. Geez don't we still need to buy the ingredients? Still, this kind of discussion was what I missed when going around the city alone. Eventually we made it to the hotel and spent our night there.

The next night, me, Eloria and Alina just woke up and walked downstairs so see. August with a man with a traveling suit, wearing round glasses and some hair being tied on the back.

I shout out, "Hey August!"

He waves at me, "Over here. This is Jasper!!"

We all ran over, Jasper apparently came to Metro just now. We moved to our own room to talk privately.

Oh right, we also explained to Alina our situation, we have gotten far with Xenia's instruction and now we are back on track.

Jasper smiled, "Don't we have some interesting people here, as you know I am Jasper. I work for the N.R.C and am an archaeologist/archaeology. I was ordered here by my boss (Xenia) to help you guys with how to find more Nyx related stuff."

August was leading behind the walls, while Alina was full blown laying down on a bed with me and Eloria sitting down.

August raised his hands, "So, where do we start?"

Jasper pushed his glasses, "During my travels around Nox, I have gained the knowledge. Have you ever heard of the rumors of the Ruins of Nyx?"

We all shook our heads, "Great let me explain, from what I know. There are only 4 Ruins of Nyx as they each exist over one continent and are only just rumors that are backed up by research and other archaeologists. So a quick warning, are you willing to help me find these ruins of Nyx even if it means a failure?"

August nodded, I nodded, Eloria nodded, and Alina looked around and followed our actions.

Jasper smiled, "Great, oh by the way I have no idea where these ruins are located. We can try finding the one in Nacht though."

August sighed, "Well we should cross the empire. I looked at multiple illegal (now) readings, sculptures, books, poems on Nyx and nothing like that came up. Those were the things passed down from each emperor and empress of Satrus ever since the beginning."

I asked, "Then should we look in the republic?"

Jasper pointed at me, "Yes Lyndon, we can certainly try, but..... the only problem of going to the republic is.." He turns to August.

August sighs, "My last name, the royal family's last name is Kingsley. I'm going to use my mothers side, Armbrust. It has worked so far...kinda. Plus they don't know who I am, I have never gone up to the public once due to my father locking me up since I was a child. The only exception was when I left Ziobliss with Lyn."

Jasper clapped his hands, "Awsome, we will head to the nearest city in the Xeomo Republic and start there."

August took out his map, "Over here, it's the city of Jewels....Jelles."

Jasper looked at the location, 'Hmmm it might take a while by walking, we should take a carriage."

August laughs starting a bit quiet to a full blow shouting, "Hehehehe...hahahaha. That's right, we finally have so much gold!......Ahem, I mean we can afford to go on a ride."

Alina asked, "I think it might be a bit more expensive with 5 people riding."

August smiled, "We can always ask the mayor."

Jasper opened the door, "We can start now, let us go on an adventure in order to find the Ruins of Nyx!"

Eloria jumped off the bed, "Let's go guys."

I follow suit and look back at Alina, "Come on, let's go."

She closes her eyes for a sec, smiles and stands up, "Alright, lets go!"

This was the end of our time in Metro City, and finally embarking on our goal, to find the 4 Ruins of Nyx and hopefully find more to the truth of Nyx, Nox, the Nox Government, what happened 5000 years ago and the curse.
