I took a deep breath as I walked through the gates of the kings empire castle. I was going to be one of their maids and I really have no choice because I'm homeless and my parents really ditched me after I decide to pack my stuff and leave.
I have nothing , I have nobody. Just me . I walked to the main entrance of the castle and spotted a women dressed in a nice gown. Once she set eyes on me she walked over to me and didn't even introduce herself.
"I'm guessing your the maid , your a whole lot younger than I expected...." She trailed off "Anyways I got your bucket ready start scrubbing the walls"
And of course my soft spoken , introverted , antisocial , flat bread looking self had to say something " um... how much and when .. would I um get paid"
I cringed at how long it took me to say one sentence. " you will get paid 25 cent an hour , now get to work" she trotted off in her heels back to wherever she came from.
I haven't even started and I'm ready to get in my bed. Picking up the sponge I scrubbed the brick wall and couldn't help but wonder why can't they just be power washed. Then my brain reminded me that royals are still on the old kinda stuff.

After I finished I wiped my forehead from sweat that kept bothering me all day. Yes I was scrubbing all damn day. Taking the bucket with me I walked to see if I see that same lady again. While looking around I ran into another maid. She was and and crinkled. The literal definition of a Hawaiian sweet roll but without the brown part. Maybe that's why the that women thought I was old.
After speaking with the maid I ran into she told me to go the main house and clean it. Now I know she didn't mean that whole house.
She did. Anyways I headed to the main house and cleaned the kitchen , living and dinning room. I made my way up the stairs and we're headed to clean the rooms. I opened the door and a man about 6ft tall and 6 pac abs was standing before me. Assuming it was the prince eyes widened in shock and I know I was standing there for a while.
I heard someone coming up the stairs and the prince had grabbed me into his room and closed the door. My back hit the door and he was leaning over me. It was so quiet that the only thing I heard was our breaths and the sound of footsteps coming from the hallway.
I looked into his brown eyes by mistake and I ended up looking at him for too long. My eyes wandered to his lips all the way down to his torso. Good thing I didn't look any further....
Once the footsteps sounded distant he relaxed and moved away from me. I'm not gonna lie I was a little upset. But too upset that he noticed.
He walked back up to me "I usually don't believe in kissing strangers"
His hand slowly traced around my waist. " but you can be a exception"
He held my head up to his "you don't talk much"
I shook my head and he smirked. Leaning in he pressed his lips against mined. He took his hand off my waist and pressed it against the side of my face.
I was the first one to pull away being that I ACTUALLY AM A. MAID. I walked out the room without turning back.... What the hell did I just do?
