😔Leo's grief😟

'Don't intimidate him so much! He doesn't know about you and New and your past friendship or your one sided love."

'I am not trying to intimidate him! I just want to know about the situation!'

'You and your jealousy have no bound! Let him speak first! Why are you acting like a cop!'

'I just asked a few questions! Is that interrogation!'

'Huh! Do you need a mirror? Your face was so red with anger! Don't scare him off!'

'Fine I won't interrupt again. You continue your conversation. I'll just listen.'

'Like that's gonna happen!'

We were at the hotel and after asking Leo only a few questions, Off dragged me out of the room and started to lecture me.

'Wait here, take a deep breath and come in after a few minutes. I am going to handle the situation.' Off shook his head disdainfully and went into the room.

What did I do! Is that my fault that Leo started to stutter! Fine, nothing is more important than my Hin so I am going to listen to Off and not become hyper.

I was at the door when I heard Leo's voice,

'Is he mad at me for some reason? Why does it feel like that?' 

'Ha ha, good one. No, actually he is just tired from his journey you know, so he's a bit cranky right now. Don't mind him much.' Off was laughing good heartedly.

I am not cranky…… I am angry….. As simple as that.

'Whatever.. I didn't mind anything. It's just he was questioning me like I am a criminal.'

'Sorry sorry.'

'It's okay. Don't worry.'

'So tell me about the situation here. I mean what's going on? Yesterday when I visited their house I did find that New's behavior was slightly abnormal but today after hearing your conversation, I think my guess was right.' Off came straight to the point.

I opened the door and went to sit next to Off. Leo looked up but didn't say anything to me.

'I don't know Off. It's about New and I am not comfortable talking about it with anyone else. Please don't get me wrong, but you and I, we are not that close you know.'

That asshole! If you won't talk today, you're not going to talk for the rest of your life. I will make sure of that.

Off squeezed my thigh hard under the table. He was giving me a warning. 

I reined in my emotions and didn't act rash.

'I can understand Leo but don't you think you are thinking too much? I mean it's just a minor problem between husbands. They'll reconcile soon. I just want to know if I could help in any way.'

'Minor problem? Huh!' Leo snorted.

'Oh come on, we all know how much Earth loves and cares for New… and obviously New loves him too..' Off was going to say some more but after glancing at me he stopped in mid track.

'Yeah sure….. Earth loves New soooo much…. That's why he was feeding him wrong medicine for two years…… how endearing na?' He sarcastically laughed.

'What!' I froze on the spot.

'Wrong medicine!' Off exclaimed.

Leo looked at our shocked face and contemplate something, then said in a deep voice,

'New doesn't want to involve anyone else in his private matters so please don't talk to him about it. Can you promise me that?'

'Would you tell us the whole story if we promise that?' Off asked.

'Yes.'

'Then we promise that we won't talk to New about it until and unless he talks first.' 

He nodded his head in agreement.

'Let me ask you first. Do you know about New's health?' This time the question was directed to me.

'I heard from Off that he had an accident two years ago and slipped into a coma. After recovering from that he sometimes has massive headaches and fainting spells.' I acted like a bystander who only knows everything vaguely.

'Yes, and for that he has to take medicine regularly.' Leo looked quite distressed.

'Half a month ago New had a massive headache when working at the office. It was late at night and he didn't have his regular medicine with him so he went to a pharmacy and tried to purchase the same. They demanded a prescription which he didn't have so he called Dr Chan because he was mad at Earth for some reason that day. Dr Chan and the pharma lady both told him that the med he was looking for was not for his headache. They gave him some other drug and it didn't work on him. 

He asked Dr Chan about his regular drug and was shocked to know that it was a complex drug used for brain hemmorage. He went home and decided to look into it. After he told me everything, we planned to meet a doctor at Trang I know. Fortunately that doctor was the same person who treated him when he had that horrible accident. He told us in detail about the drug he was taking. The more shocking fact was no one can take this more than two months at a stretch. It will affect their heart, eventually lead them to their death. He said that that med is life-threatening if taken on a regular basis.'

My whole body felt like someone doused me with ice cold water. What is he rambling on!

'New was in a trance after knowing everything. When we came back I urged him to leave the house and stay with me until he made everything clear with Earth who prescribed it in the first place. But that stubborn brat didn't listen to me and went to confront Earth. 

I don't know what happened next but when I called him the next day he said he'll talk to me in person someday because he was busy probing. He didn't delve into the details and I didn't ask him. That was a huge mistake of mine.'

After saying this much he held his head in his hands and shook it in defeat.

I couldn't think straight. Wrong medicine! Affect your heart! I was engulfing in helplessness.
