Study Buddy

I woke up with a text from Harry. "Good morning beautiful," it read. I sent him a quick good morning text before I got up to get ready. As I was getting ready, we continued to text back and forth. He told me that when I was done with class, he would come over.

I got changed into a plain white t-shirt, and because it was a cool, cloudy day, I threw on a pair of light denim jeans. I tied a red and black plaid shirt around my waist to add a little bit of color. I slid on my black ankle boots and made my way to the bathroom.

I quickly brushed my teeth and thought about what I wanted to do with my hair for the day. I decided to put my hair in a ponytail, my hair still curly from the night before. I looked down at the necklace Harry gave me when I gave him my answer.

*Flashback*

"I really like you and I hope the feeling is mutual," he looked at me and I gave him a nod. "What I'm trying to say is," he let out one more sigh. "Will you do me the honor of being my girlfriend?" he asked.

I didn't know what to say. I wanted to say yes, but I'm also scared of getting hurt in the future, "Harry, I..." I stopped myself for a moment.

"Well, will you?"

I sat there for a moment and thought about it. So many girls could be in my position, so I am happy he chose me. Plus I was expecting this for a while, but not so soon. I really like him, so why am I finding it so hard to say yes? Well, better now than never.

"Yes," I said barely audible. He stared at me with curiosity.

"What was that?" he questioned. I opened my mouth to repeat myself with more confidence.

"Yes," I repeated. Then everything happened so fast. In what felt like seconds, Harry got up from his seat, grabbed my hand, lightly pulled me up out of my seat, and what happened next surprised me.

He slowly moved his lips towards mine as if he was making sure it was okay. When I didn't move away, he softly placed his lips against mine. The kiss was simple and sweet, but in that moment it meant so much more.When we pulled away, he placed his forehead against mine. "Wow," he laughed. I let out a soft laugh as I looked into his eyes. He took a small step back and grabbed my hands, "There's something I want to give you."

"What might that be?" I asked. He pulled out a small box. He handed it to me when I gave him a confused look.

"Open it," he requested. When I did, I found a cute, gold heart shaped necklace inside. Inscribed on the front was 'A+H Forever and Always'. I looked down at it, tears slowly starting to form in my eyes.

"Oh my gosh, Harry it's beautiful," I admired the necklace until he offered to help me put it on.

"For the most beautiful girl," he whispered as he clasped the necklace around my neck. I turn back towards him and looked down at the metal heart that was resting on my chest. I stepped on my tiptoes and gave him a quick peck on the cheek as a sign of thanks.

*Flashback Over*

"Alyssa you better hurry up before you're late," I heard Vanessa shout, bringing me out of my thoughts. I shouted back a quick 'okay' before finishing getting ready. I put on a thin layer of lip gloss. I put on my glasses, not wanting to deal with the struggle of putting my contacts in.

I exited the bathroom and headed back into my room. I grabbed my bookbag as I made my way towards the door. I left the apartment building and walked across the street to the campus. I made the journey to my first class of the day, stopping every now and then to chat with friends.

*SKIP SCHOOL DAY*

I made my way back home after my last class. On my way back I was texting Harry. He told me he would be here soon. As I walked up to the door, I saw a note taped to it. It was from Vanessa letting me know that she would be out for a while.

I laid down on our couch in the living room, looked up at the ceiling, and thought about things as I played with the little heart of my necklace. I started thinking about the final exams I had in a few days and decided to get a start on studying.

I pulled out my class books and went to grab my laptop from my room. After studying for a while, there was a knock on the door. "Coming!" I yelled as I went to go open it. Harry stood on the other side.

I let him in and returned to my spot on the couch. He followed me into the living room. "What are you doing?" he questioned.

"Studying for finals," I replied. He sat next to me and looked down at my progress.

"Looks like you did a lot," he commented.

"Yeah and there's much more to do," I huffed. He pulled me into his side.

"Seems like someone could use a study break."

"I would love to, but I have too much work to do," I argued. He convinced me to take a break, as long as he helped me study later. We decided to head out for a quick snack at the ice cream parlor down the street. We walked along the sidewalk, holding hands the whole way there.

When we got their, we got our ice cream and decided to take it back to the apartment. On our way back, we talked about how summer was just around the corner and joked around. We strolled down the sidewalk until he stopped me suddenly. "You have something on your lips," he smiled. "Here let me get it for you.

Before I could say anything, he placed his lips on mine. He pulled away, "Got it." I smiled a the gesture. We continued on to my place.

Once we got back, I said, "Great. Now you can help me study." I heard him groan behind me. "Oh come on it won't be that bad," I laughed.

"But I just want to cuddle with my lovely girlfriend," he pouted. I gave him a slight peck on the lips.

"After. I promise."

He started to help me study, but after a few minutes, he started to get off track. "Harry, please stay focused," I pleaded. Instead, he continued what he was doing. Finally I gave in and we cuddled and watched movies for the rest of the night.

I know it's been a while since I last posted a new chapter, but I've been really busy with school and my heath hadn't been in the best conditions, so I was in and out of hospitals. Now I'm doing better and I'm on summer vacation, so I have a little more time. Hope you like this chapter. I've been working on it all day and night. Now I'm about to go to sleep because it's like 5 something in the morning.
