Beep. Beep. Beep
I groaned as I got up for school. I stretched as I sat up in bed and looked around my room. I'm currently in college studying to get my degree in music production. I got out of bed and walked over to my cousin Vanessa's room to wake her up. She was hesitant but slowly got up.
I rolled my eyes at her as I went back to my room and chose my outfit for the day, thankful that it was Friday. I picked my outfit and I left to the bathroom to take a shower. Once I was finished, I changed into a teal-ish shirt and a pair of coral colored jeans. I slid on my sandals and did my hair.
I left the restroom to see Vanessa dressed in a black sparkly bralet and a teal skirt. She left her hair down and she was putting on her laced-up ankle boots. I always thought she had a cute fashion taste, but it seemed weird for someone who's going to be a nurse.
I walked to the kitchen area of our apartment and grabbed a pop tart. I checked the time to see that it was about time to leave for class. I finished my pop tart and threw away the wrapper. I grabbed my book bag on my way to the door and told Vanessa a quick "Goodbye."
I walked down the halls and took an elevator down to the lobby. I made my way to the college campus, which was across the street, to my first class of the day.
*Skip School Day*
I got out of my last class of the day and rushed home Once I got there, I collapsed on my bed. After a few moments of relaxing, I grabbed some of my books to do some homework. I placed them in my bookbag and was on my way to the town's local coffee shop.
When I got there, I got a hot chocolate because I don't like coffee all that much. I chose a seat in the back, so I wouldn't get disturbed. As I began to work, I lost track of time.
By the time I checked the clock on the wall opposite of me, I saw that I had been working on homework for almost 3 hours. I also noticed that I was going to be late for work if I didn't leave right now.
I hurried and gathered my books, not having enough time to put them in my bag. I was in such a rush that I didn't notice the gentleman walking through the door as I was leaving. I bumped into his chest since he was quite a bit taller than me.
I stumbled back a bit and my books fell out of my grasp and onto the floor. "I am so sorry," I said as I bent down to gather my scattered papers and things. He followed my actions.
"No it was my fault. Sorry," he told me. We looked up at the same time and just stared at each other. He was truly great looking. I could stare in his emerald green eyes all day. "Hi," he said bringing me back to reality.
"Hello," I smiled. He grinned back and I saw his dimples pop out. I felt the blush creep to my cheeks so I looked back at my materials on the ground. I got some of the things and stood up. The cute guy stood up seconds later.
"Sorry again," he told me as he handed me my things. I smiled at him and told him it was ok. "I'm Harry. What's your name?" he asked as he held out his hand. I shook it and told him my name.
"I'm Alyssa. Hey, it was really nice to meet you, but I really have to go. Maybe I'll see you around. Sorry," I replied. He nodded in understanding and we went our separate ways.
Once I got back to my apartment, I quickly changed into my Super Strikers uniform, put my hair up, and grabbed my purse along with the book I was currently reading, Thirteen Reasons Why. I slid on my grey vans and walked out to the parking lot.
I hopped into my car and drove down to the small bowling alley that I worked at. It was about 8, so it was going to start getting busy soon. After parking, I ran in and clocked in just barely on time. My co-worker, Leila, scoffed at me. I just rolled my eyes at her.
We've never really gotten along, but I didn't care. I chilled behind the counter and read my book since we weren't busy yet. About 5 minutes before our busiest hour, Leila decided to take a break, leaving me to do all the work.
Not long after, cosmic bowling began and everyone started to arrive. I ran back and forth between giving people their shoes to giving them a lane. When things cooled down, Leila came back. I groaned in annoyance as I walked pass her to get a water bottle from my purse. I walked back to the shoe rental desk and continued to read my book again.
Soon, a group of guys walked in. I didn't look up until they came up to the desk. I gave the first few guys their shoes. "A size 11," I heard a familiar voice say from behind me. I searched for the right size then turned to give it to the same curly haired boy I bumped into earlier.
"Harry?" I asked to be sure. I placed his shoes on the counter.
"Alyssa. Hey, I didn't know you worked here," he said. We exchanged a few words before one of his friends called his name. "Well, I got to go. Maybe we can talk some other time?"
"Maybe," I smiled. We quickly exchanged numbers, then he left and I got back to work.
(A/N)
Here is the new and improved first chapter. I didn't like the way I started it off last time so I changed it. Sorry for the long wait. Some of it might be the same, but a majority has been changed. I don't know when I'll be able to update next but I'll try to soon.
*Updated*
I switched us living in a dorm to an apartment, so it will make sense for the story later on.
