On The Road Again

It's nearing the end of June which means that the boys have to go back on tour soon. They have two shows here in California, and then they are off to Seattle. Since I still have some time left until I go back to school, I decided that while Harry's on tour, I'm going to spend the rest of my summer with my family.

Harry sat on my bed as I packed my bags for the trip. "Do you really need all these clothes?" he asked as I tossed random articles of clothing out of my closet.

"No," I huffed from being out of breath, "But I've got this plan of narrowing them down." Once I finished with the closet, I moved to my dresser. After I had all the potential clothes out in front of me, I chose which ones I actually needed. "Ok, now I need to find my suitcase."

I began rummaging through the mess that I created, eventually finding what I was looking for with Harry's help. I folded up my clothes and placed them neatly in the suitcase. When I tried to close it, I struggled with zipping it up all the way.

"Why don't you try sitting on it?" Harry suggested.

"Gee why didn't I think of that?" I sarcastically replied. Harry just laughed it off and offered to help me. Eventually we were able to get it to zip up all the way. I hopped off the suitcase, happy that it closed. Then I looked around my room. "Ah man. Now I have to clean up this mess," I groaned as Harry just laughed.

"Well you did make the mess." I turned and gave him a pouty look.

"Will you help me?" I whined like a child.

"Of course."

After a long night of cleaning and packing, Harry and I decided to just relax for the rest of the night. The next morning, we changed into something comfortable and made our way to the airport.

Because Washington isn't far from California, the boys are taking a tour bus there. I had an early morning flight to my hometown, so Harry was able to take me to the airport and see me off.

Once I checked in and all that good stuff, I sat with Harry and waited for my flight to be called. "So when do you think we'll get to see each other again?" I asked, thinking about how far apart we'll be.

"I don't know honestly," he frowned, "But let's not think about that right now." I nodded and rested my head on his shoulder. Before we knew it, it was time for me to get on my flight.

"You know, it's funny." I started saying.

"What is?" He asked, confusion evident on his face.

"Our current situation. I thought it would be the other way around, with you leaving on a plane and me saying goodbye as I watch you leave for a while," I continued tearing up a bit.

"Awe babe." Harry pulled me into his arms and held me close. "It's only for a while. You'll be back, and when I can, I'll come back for you. Don't worry," he placed a soft kiss on my forehead and feld my face in his hands.

"I'll miss you," I whispered as a tear rolled down my face.

"And I'll miss you," he wiped the tear off of my cheek with the pad of his thumb and placed a soft kiss on my lips. "Now go before you miss your flight," we both let out a small laugh. I grabbed my carry on bag and gave Harry one final kiss before I walked off to board my flight.

Here's the next chapter. I have a little announcement... I finished an outline for this and this is ending within 24 chapter. I think you guys are going to like what is to come, there's a lot of unexpected things in the future.

On a side note, this story takes place around this year, so I'll mostly be referring to OTRA tour dates. Speaking of the OTRA tour, I'm kind of sad that it's over. I was able to go to the Indy concert (I'll tell more about my experience in a future chapter, or if you guys want to hear it) and I had so much fun, so knowing that the tour is over and the boys are now on a break, it's kind of sad. But I happy that they are finally getting the rest and break that they deserve and needed for a while now.

Sorry for all the rambling. Anyway, I really hope you enjoyed this chapter and I can't wait to write more, though I don't know when that will be.
