Jisung felt helpless as the bullies in front of him towered him completely. He was curled into a ball at the end of his classroom while three boys laughed and mocked him for his sorry state.

“A low life, Good for nothing brat like you should just die, you know that?”

“What's the point of living? It may have meaning for us but for you? You are better off dead!”

“What he said. Come on, you're not only pathetic but gay as well. Uff! I feel bad for your parents, they gave birth to homo, useless piece of trash.”

Jisung closed his ears off in attempts to drown out the miserable comments yet it wasn't enough. His cheeks were drenched in his tears and his eyes stung at how much he had cried.

“He's way too pathetic to be taking our time. Let's get out of here.” One of the boys said and his minions agreed, leaving Jisung behind all alone on the floor.

Jisung didn't know how long he spent crying on the ground, but if he had to make a guess, he probably stayed there for more than an hour. Using his sleeve to dry away his tears, he got up and rushed to the bathroom and washed his face thoroughly, making sure there were no marks of tears or signs of his crying.

He walked back to his dorm, taking a deep breath before he entered it with a huge smile on his face. He saw his roommate, his best friend and the only reason he had left to smile and laugh, sitting comfortably on the bed with a book. He looked so peaceful, unlike the chaos in his head.

Minho was the only one beside Chan and Felix who knew about his sexuality and accepted him with open arms. Jisung felt extremely relieved when he saw Minho wasn't revolted by him and even offered to cuddle when the he felt down.

Minho looked up from his book only to see Jisung smiling softly at him. He returned the smile with same amount of gentleness, melting the younger's heart and for a second, Jisung forgot about the horrible experience he had just gone through. The older's smile was like a remedy to his wounds and medicine that dissolved all scars.

“That was a long walk you took Jisungie. You good?” Minho asked and Jisung tensed up. He had lied about going for a walk as the boys from earlier threatened him that if he didn't show up at the classroom, they would tell Minho of his small crush.

“Yeah, I'm perfect Hyung! I just ate too much plus the weather right now seems pretty chill, so I guess I lost track of time.” He giggled and flashed Minho a big goofy smile. Minho felt something was off but decided to brush it off.

“Hyung, it's pretty late. We should sleep.” Jisung said and Minho nodded as he put his book down on the side table, switching off the lamp.

“Good night Sungie.”

“Good night Hyung.”

Jisung waited for Minho to fall asleep and once he heard the soft snores of the older, he headed towards the bathroom. Opening the drawer, he retracted a blade from it, gazing at the metal before he proceeded to cut his thighs mercilessly.

It stung, it stung bad. But the pain was drowned out by the pain he felt in his heart. The voices in his head were just as cruel as his bullies if not worse. Without even realizing, Jisung had started crying again, clamping his mouth shut with his hand so he won't be too loud and wake Minho up. His teeth dug into his own skin as he tried his best to be as quiet as he could.
