Ever since the incident with ciels parents, all he's wanted was to have his father, or someone be a father to him. He would never admit it but he sees Sebastian as a father. Sebastian always helps him in a fatherly way and treats him as a son. Ciel doesn't want to make it obvious so he just slowly does little things for sebastians comfort.

One morning Ciel woke up with an awful fever.
Ciel: *coughing*
Sebastian: I think you may have a fever, my Lord.
Ciel: ugh..
Sebastian sat with Ciel for a while when he was in bed and stroked his hair. This reminded Ciel a lot of his father.

When Ciel would get nightmares, Sebastian would hold him and cuddle him as he went back to sleep.

Ciel: Sebastian.. Can you stay with me tonight?
Sebastian: of course, my Lord.
Ciel: lay down with me..
Sebastian layed down in ciels bed and Ciel quickly layed down on him, cuddling into his chest, just like he used to with his father.

Ciel and Sebastian got closer and closer, Ciel having these feelings about Sebastian. One day, Ciel made a mistake.
Sebastian: here is the book you wanted me to find, my Lord.
Ciel: thanks dad
Sebastian: ...dad?
Ciels mind: SHIT.
Ciel: huh? I said sebastian.. Are you hearing things...?
Sebastian knew exactly what he said. Hearing that word come out of ciels mouth honestly made Sebastians demon heart melt a bit. He found it adorably sweet. To tease Ciel, the next morning Sebastian decided to call him son.
Sebastian: good morning, son.
Ciel: son.. Ugh Sebastian I didn't mean to call you dad!
Sebastian: *giggle*

Ciel was feeling quite upset one day and although it was very rare, he wanted a hug.
Ciel: Sebastian..
Sebastian: yes, my lo-?
Ciel flopped into Sebastians arms and began to tear up.
Ciel: S-sorry... I j-just *sniffle* wanted a h-hug.. *hiccup*
Sebastian couldn't help but smile at the young boy. Sebastian pulled Ciel closer to his chest and gave him a warm hug, patting his back and stroking his head.
Sebastian: don't cry, darling.
That word.. The word darling made Ciel burst out in tears. Sebastian gave Ciel a little kiss on the head and continued to cuddle the young boy on his lap.

Sebastian: say "ahhhh"
Ciel: I'm not a child... I don't need you to feed me!
Sebastian: but you've been refusing to eat, young master.. I'm not sure what to do.
Ciel: I'm just not hungry!
Sebastian: you haven't been hungry for a few days now... It's concerning
Sebastian got an idea. Sebastian picked Ciel up, sat down in his chair and then pulled Ciel onto his lap. Sebastian then got a spoonful of food and held it to ciels mouth. Why was Ciel suddenly hungry? Ciel hated when he got treated like a child but this was different... It reminded him of... His father.

Ciel was being rude and cheeky. Ciels worsening behavior was starting to worry Sebastian. When Sebastian was telling Ciel off for something once again, Ciel raised his arm to hit him. Sebastian quickly grabbed his wrist, pulled him forward and gave him three strong smacks on the bottom. It hurt, of course but Ciel didn't complain because guess who it reminded him of, yes, his father.
Sebastian: young master you mustn't be treating your servants that way!
Ciel: I'm sorry...
Ciel apologized as he rubbed his sore behind. Sebastian patted him on the head and ended the lecture.

Ciel: Sebastian... I've wanted to tell you this for a while but... I was worried...
Sebastian: hm? Is everything alright, dear?
Ciel: Sebastian.. You're like a... Dad to me...
Sebastian didn't say anything, he just smiled and hugged Ciel.
