𝒌𝒚𝒔

"You better win this for me, okay?" Kirishima grinned as he put his hands on your shoulders in a brotherly way, "There's a bet going around, and I put a lot of money on you."

"What?"

"Just go out there and beat his ass," Sero added as he sauntered over, "I'm backing you too."

"Thanks." you smiled warmly.

"Where are your friends anyway?" Kirishima asked, "I thought they'd wanna give you a pep talk or something."

You shrugged, "I don't know... it's been awkward lately."

"Isn't Momo like your best friend?" Sero raised an eyebrow.

You didn't have time to respond, and you didn't want to either, because All Might and Aizawa announced the start of your match.

Bakugo grinned when he saw you.

"Scared, Y/N?"

Your heart fluttered in your chest as you grinned fiercely back, "You wish."

"Reminding you guys NOT to cause collateral damage this time. I'd tell you not to hurt each other too bad but you'll do it anyway." Aizawa's tired voice came through your speakers.

All Might took over as he shouted, "GO!"

Bakugo immediately set his hands ablaze, yelling as he flew at an alarming speed in your direction.

You slashed at the air in front of you with your hand, emitting your dark flames as you did so. It temporarily stopped Bakugo from getting so close to you, but as soon as the fire died out he went in for an explosive punch.

You blocked him quickly, grabbing his wrist before it made contact. You scorched his skin with your quirk, making him let out a pained groan.

He stumbled back, temporarily blinded by pain while you took the opportunity to strike again.

You raised your palms, creating a tall fire wall in front of you. Then without thinking, you pushed your hands forward and sent it his way.

The blonde anticipated it and raised his hand to counter the attack, knowing it was too quick to dodge. His explosion combined with your fire backfired on both of you, blasting you to the opposite ends of the street in a cloud of ashes.

Bakugo winced a little as he sat up, but his eyes widened as soon as he saw you running towards him, leaving a trail of flames behind you.

You were going to jump at him like you had done the first time.

He gritted his teeth and followed suit, readying his fists for the punch. He saw your hand getting ready to burn his face and took a tight hold of your arm before you could.

He threw you across the street, your body crashing into the nearby building.

"Honestly, I expected more." Bakugo jived as he walked to where you lay.

You were bleeding from your palms, knees, and abdomen and your insides felt like they were going to give out. Furthermore, your costume had some serious tears on it, exposing a lot of unwanted skin.

You gritted your teeth, "It isn't over yet."

You immediately lashed out, casting thick black flames in his direction as you struggled up. Luckily, it caught him unawares and gave you some extra time to ready yourself.

As Bakugo turned towards you, cursing, you pushed both your arms in front of you. A huge tunnel of fire erupted from your palms, scorching the blonde and knocking him to the ground.

By now, you were using so much of your quirk in such large doses that flames were beginning to attach themselves to your body- only they didn't burn you somehow.

Bakugo was lying on his stomach, covered in burns. He twitched as he shakily lifted his head and reached out his hand. He was trying to raise his fingers.

"So close." you mused as you bent down in front of him.

He gritted his teeth and tried again, his hand pathetically falling back onto the concrete; If he could just perform one more blast.

"I'm sure you can do it if you try hard enough," you smirked, "I believe in you."

"Shut the fuck up." he managed to get out as he began to lift himself.

"You're boring me."

When Bakugo started to actually get up, you cast fire on his back, which made him slump back down in pain. He let out a noise akin to a whimper.

"Enough." 

"Huh?" you tilted your head, slightly in disbelief as you looked down at the boy struggling on the road.

You sent a few more wisps of black fire his way to egg him on.

"Please, Y/N." Bakugo said weakly, "You win."

You grinned excitedly, "Really?"

He rolled his eyes before passing out with a loud thud.

"L/N... wins!"
