All this was to prove her wrong.

To prove Gwen wrong.

To prove to the girl that he liked her, that she was the only one for him, and that she was the one he wanted to be with no one else!

Ever since the incident with the go-home machine and after the crew's attempt to save Miles, he has been in a bit of a pickle.

Gwen wouldn't get off his back.

Why?

Well, because the second Miles from Earth's 42 eyes landed on Margo, he couldn't hide that red that tainted every rose on his cheek.

He couldn't hide his stuttering or fidgeting when he was close to the girl's avatar; hearing her voice always made him change his decisions, which they obviously used to their advantage, but when Gwen saw that,

It was the end of OG Miles.

She started to believe that if the brown-eyed boy that she liked was able to go against the canon, Changed his fate then. Maybe his love story wasn't going to follow the same path as the other Peters. Maybe in his love life there wasn't going to be a Gwen or a MJ, but a

Margo.

That shattered her more than she dared confess to herself.

Being from a different universe than him was already a stumbling block in their relationship, but the watches fixed that, but she didn't want to invest time and energy into something that was bound to fail...

She liked, liked the lad and would have said yes if he had asked her to be his girlfriend, but right now she wanted to put an end to it before it developed into love and there was no turning back.

So she did.

But like the stubborn kid he was, Miles set himself on a mission.

A mission to prove her wrong And for that, he needed Margo's help.

The whole plot of hanging out with her to prove to Gwen that nothing was going to happen between Miles and her was ridiculous,......but entertaining, so like any bored teenager, she entertained it.

At the price of five Fritos bags of course.

Miles was glad that she accepted to help him out. He had to pay a price, but he was grateful nonetheless.

Grateful. He had always felt this way about her since she saved him.

He was grateful for she barely knew him yet saved him.
