Taras POV

She could hardly contain herself  as she bused the tables. She couldn't wait for work to be over she actually had some people, turtles to hang out with. And they actually wanted to hang out with her she thought happily , they weren't weirded out by her or think she's just too much. they had all planned to meet up and go skateboarding once she was off. She had texted Raph to confirm and felt nothing but anticipation to be with them. She just wanted to be done at work so she could finally go. "Two more hours till my shift is over and then ill go home grab Abby and then eat or maybe and maybe we are eating together crap forgot to ask"  she thought as she tried to stifle a yawn from her terrible sleep.  She kept cleaning up the left over plates and dishes from previous customers trying to stay as busy as possible to make the time go faster. Moving the swinging door with her back she brought in the bucket of dirty dishes into the back and started cleaning them off. Jackson the large cook  was there in the back he had started to try and make small talk with her. He made her gut twirl and not in the good way she had no reason to dislike him other then he just felt so fake all the time and just set her off

" how's it going Tara , you seem excited" he asked an innocent enough question but one she wished he had just left she glanced back at him he always gave her weird vibes but she always tried to stay courteous with him since he never gave her  a real reason not to

" oh its good , I just have a date with friends"

"What a boyfriend" he asked trying to pry into her personal life that he had no business being in.

Nah just friends we are going to go skateboarding". As they talked he came closer into her personal space invading her nostrils with his grease lined skin that made her want to back away and never come back.

sounds fun he said almost  directly into her ear almost as if he was trying to be sexy but instead comes off as darn right creepy.

Tara  took a few steps to the side and  continued  to wash the dishes pretending she didn't catch onto his moves.

"ya it is.. , you will have to bring them by here."

She laughed ' ya probably not .... they don't like diners" she said awkwardly as she tried to think of a reasonable reason he would never see them, but also thinking about how funny it would be for them to come to the diner and eat like normal humans. When she thought about it the more she realized  that it would just result in a Godzilla moment for most people screaming and freaking out the whole nine yards. He proceeded to touch the small of her back

"well don't worry I'm always here to keep you company."  with that comment sending a shiver up her spine she  started to quickly move the dishes to the drying rack to escape the small kitchen

" Thaanks jackson I will keep that in mind." she said drawing out the thanks trying not to give him the wrong idea but still stay kosher since it was just a small staff.  she shook herself as she exited the kitchen thinking  about how weird it was for this thirty year old guy to always be so close to her "I mean I'm only 19 for gods sakes."

"Hey Tara can you go take table threes orders they just got here." An older pudgy women at the front barked at her she may sound sweet but you could hear the undertone of authority.

"Yes mam" she responded quickly  to the older owner Mrs. Vicky she was a no nonsense woman and as long as you did what you were told she was fine but if you messed up good luck. Tara  went up to the table and took the order slowly writing it down she knew if she wrote fast That no one would be able to read it ;but she also knew if it was done  too slow she would also be in trouble. Tara was glad the writing part was over and quickly  handed off the ticket without any issues except for a sigh from Gloria the other waitress
