Raph's one and only

The meeting

Absent from any pain in life is not really possible. Pain ebbs and flows with every breath it's not always as intense and it is sometimes very different kinds of pain, emotional or physical they all are the same it's just how you perceive it. Some may feel they are wronged by the pain given in their life while others use it as proof to keep living. Because without pain there is no love or joy or at least that's what Tara thought everything happens for a reason and she believed it. When she aged out of the foster system and was placed in an apartment, it's not the best part of town but it's only 1 mile from the Hudson River and it allows pets how could she ask for more. Within the first month of working full time she was blessed finding an abandoned blue heeler mix pup in the trash a gift from the powers above. The little blue heeler with Batman ears and a half mask became her new family immediately becoming interwoven in the fabric of her life . She felt pretty good worked at grocery store and was making a decent wage for both her and the heeler Abby. The days consisted of a constant patter walk dog in morning go to work come home and go play, either skate board with Abby paddle board with Abby. She loved the water it felt like her safe calm space She sometimes longed to be somewhere warmer with more water available but again you have to enjoy what life gives you. Who could of guessed what life would bring next.

Raphs POV

"Get off my back Leo" 

I yelled as my brother tried again to tell me on how to follow him. And how I had again gone off and done my own thing instead of following orders on the mission

"Leo we fucking won didn't we!? I don't see what the hells your problem."

 I seethed back upset he can't just be happy with the result. At this point my anger was in control and nothing else matters at that point but winning this argument. As Leo went to rebuttals back ;Splinter came in and his presence was enough this time to stop the argument in its tracks he didn't say anything just stood in the hall way watching his sons to see where this would go. "Whatever I'm going out than! "

 I shouted and turned my back on my family Leo was about to interject but was stopped by splinter I was thankful for this and continued on my way 

" give him a chance to calm himself my son"

"hai sensei"

 Leo responded watching me storm off

I loved being on the surface more than underground it made me feel more alive and free. Not to mention the endorphins from running across roof tops and letting the wind whip my red bandanna around letting my anger almost fall off with each step and whip of the bandanna. I went towards the river a way I didn't normally take , I was a more inner city kind of guy but tonight the river seemed to summon me to watch the water in the moonlight.

As I approached the spot I saw a strange site for New York a girl which is not that strange but what was strange was what she was wearing. She was first off walking down New York in the dark with no shoes on which should be a crime in itself her outfit was just a fitted wetsuit covering her legs torso and arms full length with just the logo on the front her hair was in a wet pony tail barley holding it together and she carried what appeared to be a paddle with her. I watched as she wanders the streets and was muttering to her self, I decided to get closer and hear what she was saying because this chick was obviously off her marbles.

 " ok ok Tara you can do this we have seen this tower before and then I was suppose to go which way c'mon you should know this. "

 She then completely spun on her heel and started going the opposite direction

 "no maybe it was this way"

 I shook my head this girl is obviously lost and it was dark. I wonder about how long she had been wandering the streets trying to find her way in that get up. I was deep in my thoughts when she stopped and looked in my direction, it was a sudden bold turn as if she sensed me watching
