i looked down at the plastic envelope lord ayberk had given me before we left his office. he didnt say anything particular about what it is. he just said its mine to begin with and to open it when we get home.
sharing some shareable stories about our newborns, we made our way to the back of their house where our mates was at.
as we neared, the hushed laughter from 3 different voices filled our ears. apparently, the kids are already taking their naps in their arms and the parents are chattering away about what-nots. both me and lord ayberk just smirked at each other just seeing our mates happily together with yi protecting them along with his own mate there as well.
i kissed my mate on his head and rubbed his shoulders in admiration. hes really glowing. whenever i see him and our pup together this peaceful, i cant help but overlap my late wife and son with them as well. im not comparing since both are dear to me but since new and haru are the ones in front of me alive, ill do anything for them, even if it means killing whoever means harm to them.
lord chawarin offered us a room to rest in into the night and we readily accepted given that we have a pup to look after and new being still on his recovering phase. i ushered them both to our room and bowed our thanks to our sovereigns for their generosity.
"i never knew our king would this be kind and generous to us." new said as he laid our pup on a bassinet beside the bed.
"well, you should see him before his mate came to his life and that night when we rescued you. youll never say the same, my love." i said caressing his flawless face.
"that frightening?" he said worried.
"yep and a lot more." i stood up and readied our clothes to change into after some bath.
morning came, we bid our farewell to the lords with a lot of promises to visit from both our mates. i tucked our pup behind in his car seat and helped my mate on his seat as well beside our newborn pup. he cant maneuver that much still and im just too happy to help him whenever.
new chatted a lot about what lord chawarin and him shared during their catching up session. mostly it was about pups and their first experiences. apparently, lord chawarin, with the help of his in-laws first class help in his child-birth, experienced a little to no problem post-delivery.
he was so animated and so delighted to see his estranged friend but here i am, enjoying his enjoyment. i love seeing him smile without worries and just like this carefree. i hope this will last long after i confronted those old timers. now that im already thinking about this, my whole mood soured.

"whats wrong?" the sweet sound of my mates voice permeated my hearing. i know he felt my feelings as well.
"its just that if worse comes to worst, i might have to kill the two person who raised me. i hope i wont have to resort to that but if they retaliated and had the motive to really usurp the power which was rightfully mine and attempted to harm both you and haru, i will have their blood in my hands."
