The rest of the week's days went pretty well, Caleb didn't slip into headspace and ate lunch with his friends half the days.
Times with Sam were becoming less and less awkward while he was out of headspace. Getting to know Sam was starting to become more and more interesting.
Here's what he knows.
- Sam grew up in Boston and DOES NOT miss the city life
- He had originally wanted to be a firefighter, but his dad eventually talked him out of it because Sam was "too smart to do a meathead job like that" and he "had to get paid SOMETHING"... safe to say his Dad was surprised to see Sam teaching.
- He has 3 younger sisters who will all go crazy when they find out about Caleb
And, lastly...
-He was the only one in his grade with his classification too.

Finding out things about Caleb was a rollercoaster.
While he was big, Caleb was... (with a lack for a better term) a shy over-sharer.
I mean, Sam knew that the reason he started playing Soccer in the first place was because his family was hosting an exchange kid, and he kept telling Caleb and Nick that their soccer teams sucked more than San Marino (which Sam has just learned is very bad.) So, Caleb being Caleb, joined the school one out of pure spite.
However, Sam still didn't know his middle name... or his favorite color for that matter.
It was nice seeing the older side of him. However, the little side still peeked through a bit.
When Sam came to pick him up every morning, Caleb was out of it. This usually meant that something had found its way into his mouth. More often than not, his fingers or a hoodie string were stuck there.
He was incredibly whiny when things didn't go his way.
However, Sam is getting a little worried again.
Caleb is still setting up a front.
Sam can tell he's nervous about something, but he's unsure what is making him anxious.
It could honestly be a lot of things. His family is unstable, his parents were true rocks, but apparently Nick had been giving them all issues. Specifically, the Tori situation was still at play.
Diana had invited Sam over for a little family get-together, nothing fancy, just a barbecue. He wanted Sam to be able to meet Caleb's grandparents and Diana's side of the family (Which was just a sister and a brother, each with one child and their pair, thankfully)
Sam arrived a bit early, mashed potatoes and homemade cookies in tow. He knocked once and was greeted by Neil.
"Come in son, oh!" He notices the bowls that Sam is carrying, "Thanks, I'll take that!" Neil said, rushing back to the kitchen to help his wife. It was cute, really. That sort of dynamic was unusual in Dom/Sub pairings nowadays. It certainly explained why they were so open to Caleb being a little.
Sam walked into the chaotic house. He heard two TVs going, one in the living room, and one in the game room. Peeking his head out of the entryway, he saw a couple sitting on the couch watching a football game. However, no Caleb was in sight.
Apparently, Sam was the one in sight because the couple each gave him a warm smile and beckoned him in.
Sam just had to remember the ground rules that Caleb gave him when he accepted the invite-
