at this point, wilbur has known tommy for a month. meaning that it has been a month since wilbur tried killing himself. but wilbur felt like he was doing much better compared to a month ago. he realized that he hasn't visited his favorite coffee shop in a long time, so he went and visited them. as expected, his favorite worker, ranboo was there.
"wow wilbur! it's been awhile, do you want your usual?" ranboo's eyes squinted under his mask. wilbur grinned and he nodded giddily.
"yeah it has been awhile, how have you been ranboo? you still getting good grades?" wilbur tried making small conversation. ranboo smiled at the taller man as he made his order.
"you know what, i've been pretty okay. this week is a little tough though, some personal anniversaries are coming up, and im not quite excited about it" ranboo shifted sadly, but he immediately cheered up as he handed the taller male his coffee. wilbur nodded as a thanks and he took a sip of his coffee, humming in approval.
"don't worry ranboo, it will be okay, you will be okay. i promise you, that so many people love and care about you. someone quite important taught me that." wilbur smiled as he referenced the young blonde. ranboo smiled as he thought about something.
"yeah, someone taught me that life is too short to not tell the ones you love, that you love them." ranboo smiled slightly. wilbur understood what he was trying to say. he nodded, and he pulled the younger guy into a small hug.
"im sorry about your loss, im sure they loved you a lot." wilbur smiled sadly as he pulled away from the hug. ranboo smiled sadly as he nodded, tears welling up in his eyes.
"thank you wilbur. i genuinely appreciate it." ranboo smiled. wilbur smiled back, and off he went. he left the coffee store, and thanked ranboo for the cup of coffee. and off he went.
ranboo watched the tall man walk away, and soon enough he looked at the photograph in his wallet. it was quite a beautiful picture, and one that he will treasure forever. ranboo smiled as he pocketed it back into his pockets.
and so ranboo got back to work.
